It's Thursday, and we’re grateful to share another meaningful update from Jamus Society

Thanks to our reliable chicken supply partner, Brother Suren, four chickens were successfully delivered to Berkat Children's Home this week. This weekly provision continues to make a real difference in their meals, and Berkat is truly thankful for the consistent support.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the donors who make this possible. Your generosity goes a long way—remember, no one ever became poor by giving.

Today, Jamus Society was blessed once again to extend love in a simple yet meaningful way — delivering four fresh chickens to Berkat Children’s Home through the faithful support of our trusted supplier, Brother Suren.

What may seem like an ordinary meal to some becomes something deeply special for these children. It becomes comfort on the table, strength for tomorrow, and a reminder that kindness still exists in this world.

Behind every meal shared at Berkat is a story of compassion. A child smiles a little brighter. A caregiver worries a little less. Hearts are encouraged knowing they are remembered and loved.

There are moments when a simple bag of rice means far more than just food.

Today, after weeks of waiting, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Jagaan Nesam (Puspanesam Home) finally received their monthly supply of 20 packets of 10kg rice from Jamus Society.

The children and caregivers had been waiting for us.

Every passing day, they wondered when the rice would arrive. We knew they were waiting, and it broke our hearts that we could not deliver on time. This delay was never because their needs were less important—it was because Jamus Society simply did not have enough funds to continue our monthly commitment.

By God's grace, after our recent appeal, two compassionate donors came forward. Because of their generosity, today we were able to keep our promise.

As we unloaded each packet, we were reminded that this is not just rice. It is hope. It is relief. It is the reassurance that the children will have meals on their plates and that Aunty Nesam can continue caring for them without carrying another burden alone.

But while we rejoice over today's delivery, our hearts remain heavy.

There are still other children's homes and struggling families waiting for us too.

Waiting for a phone call.
Waiting for us to arrive.
Waiting for groceries that many of us take for granted.

We never want to tell them, Please wait a little longer because we don't have enough funds."

Yesterday, Jamus Society received a request to partner with another NGO to assist four underprivileged families in Pontian. As always, we carried out our background checks before preparing and purchasing four family grocery packages.

Together, we personally delivered the essential food supplies to these families. We are grateful for the opportunity to work hand in hand with like-minded organizations because when we unite, more families can receive the help they desperately need.

Distance has never been a barrier for Jamus Society. Wherever there is genuine need, we will do our best to reach those who are struggling.

However, the number of requests for assistance continues to grow, while our available funds are becoming increasingly limited. We sincerely appeal to compassionate donors and members of the public to stand with us. Every contribution, no matter the amount, enables us to respond to urgent needs and bring hope to families facing difficult times.

Today, Jamus Society successfully delivered 20 bags of 10kg rice to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Jagaan Nesam, helping to ensure that the residents continue to receive this essential staple.

This delivery was originally scheduled for the first week of the month. However, due to unexpected transportation challenges and logistical delays, we were only able to complete the delivery in the second week. While the delay was beyond our control, we remained committed to fulfilling this responsibility as quickly as possible.

As we continue our mission of serving the community, we humbly appeal to the public for support. Your generosity enables us to continue caring for two welfare homes and providing assistance through our various outreach initiatives.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, makes a meaningful difference. A simple act of giving can provide nourishment, comfort, and hope to those who need it most.
