Young Boy Suffers from Malignant Lymphoma: Urgent Appeal for Medical Assistance
Brantley Lawrence Wijaya, only 10 years old, is battling an aggressive form of T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. His life is in imminent danger following a devastating relapse, with doctors giving him less than a 10% chance of survival.
Yet, this little warrior refuses to give up. Tearfully, he told his parents, "I don't want to die. I still want to see the world. I want to continue chemotherapy." His tender, resolute words inspired his family to resolutely continue the fight.
Brantley's Difficult Journey
Brantley was once a cheerful and lively boy, bringing endless joy to his family.
* Initial Diagnosis: Just before Lunar New Year last year, the diagnosis of T-cell acute lymphoblastic lymphoma shattered the family's joy.
* Brief Remission: After eight months of chemotherapy in Penang, his condition was briefly under control, entering remission in October.
* Devastating Relapse: The cancer returned in December, more aggressive than before.
* Intense Treatment: At Sunway Medical Centre, Brantley has undergone countless agonizing treatments, including chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant, and a major surgery where his heart stopped for 21 seconds before he miraculously regained consciousness.
Soaring Medical Costs
Due to the stubborn recurrence and complexity of his condition, the treatment plan requires constant adjustments, and the medical costs have soared uncontrollably.
His parents—a humble worker and a stay-at-home mother—have exhausted their savings and borrowed from everyone they know. They can no longer afford the massive expenses weighing heavily on them like an insurmountable mountain.
