This Chinese New Year, our Leo Club chose to celebrate differently — by spreading love where it truly matters. 🐴 ✨
We spent our day at an old folks’ home, celebrating with elderly residents, some of whom are living with Alzheimer’s, blindness, stroke (half-body paralysis), and anxiety. Despite their challenges, their smiles and laughter reminded us that joy has no limits.
We played simple games together, shared a meaningful lou sang, sang festive songs, decorated the place with CNY decorations, and handed out mandarins as a symbol of prosperity and blessings. 🍊🧧
It wasn’t about receiving angpaos or going on festive outings — it was about giving our time, patience, and love. Seeing their faces light up was the greatest blessing of all.
This project reminded us that Chinese New Year is not just about celebration, but about reunion, compassion, and making sure no one feels forgotten. ❤️
Happy Chinese New Year from Leo Club of MGS 🦁✨
