Rotary in Action: Successful Health Screening Outreach in Cameron Highlands.
The Rotary Club of Ipoh Central, led by President Dr. Nageenthren, proudly completed a meaningful one-day health screening outreach programme in Cameron Highlands.
Partnering with KMC Medical Centre Ipoh and Autoria Toyota Ipoh, our club brought essential healthcare services directly to the community. We successfully provided vital health checks, medical advice, and support to over 100 participants, including B40 local residents and Myanmar refugee children — fostering health, hope, and humanitarian impact in line with Rotary’s global mission of building a better world.
This initiative reflects Rotary’s commitment to serving the underserved, promoting health equity, and creating lasting positive change through strong community partnerships.
Our deepest gratitude goes to Dr. Raj Kumar, Dr. Karthikegeyan, and the entire dedicated medical team from KMC Medical Centre, our hardworking Rotary volunteers, and Autoria Toyota Ipoh for their generous support and unwavering commitment.

Our sponsored Interact Club of Imperial International School has put in tremendous effort to organise a super fun Christmas fundraiser – and they need YOU this Thursday!

📅 Date: Thursday, 4 December 2025
🕐 Time: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
📍 Venue: Legacy Hall Entrance, Imperial International School, Ipoh
💰 Only RM20 per car
(50% of proceeds goes directly to Salvation Army Ipoh Children’s Home 🎁)

Come get your car sparkling clean for the holidays while watching our amazing Interactors in action! This event is 100% planned and run by the students themselves – a true showcase of youth leadership and Rotary spirit.
President Nageenthren Ragunathan will be there from 1:30 pm onwards with a dirty car (yes, really 😄). Let’s make it a big Rotary family turnout and show these young leaders how proud we are of them!

“On September 5, 1986, four armed men seized control of a Boeing 747 at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport. The flight, en route from Mumbai to New York with stops in Karachi and Frankfurt, turned into a 17-hour nightmare. Twenty-five of the 379 passengers lost their lives, and over 150 were seriously injured”

Past Rotary International Director Muhammad Faiz Kidwai, a survivor of this ordeal, emerged from the plane with bloodstains on his shirt—yet miraculously unharmed.

This morning, President Dr. Nageenthren together with members of the Rotary Club of Ipoh Central proudly promoted the Interact Club at Imperial International School at their annual Co Curriculum Day in the presence of parents and students.
The Interact movement empowers young leaders to serve their communities, build friendships across cultures, and take action for a better world.
We look forward to seeing these bright students grow into changemakers and carry forward the spirit of Service Above Self.

Rotary Club of Ipoh Central and our partner clubs are proud to be recognised as part of the events to celebrate the ASEAN Malaysia Chairmanship 2025 with our Youth Peacebuilders Program. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recognised this initiative as a valuable platform to engage ASEAN Youth in fostering peacebuilding, conflict resolution, mental health awareness, climate action and cultural understanding which are objectives that complement Malaysia’s Chairmanship priorities of inclusivity and sustainability.
