This Ramadhan we visited Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti Gugusan Manjoi to spread festive joy ahead of the celebrations. This daycare centre provides specialized support, early intervention, and therapies (speech, physical) to children with various neurodevelopment disorders . Currently 6 teachers look after 20 children .
Once there, we got everyone moving with a sing-along session of action songs .Soon everyone was gesticulating , clapping, & dancing enthusiastically to the "Wheels in the Bus" & the Chicken Dance .It was fun.
After that ,we distributed Duit Raya to the children & teachers.It was a chaotic scene with lots of happy energy.
Later ,we gave away Raya goodie bags to parents when they came to fetch their children home.
On the whole,it was a humbling experience to see so much joy on the faces of the children, teachers & parents.
Finally, a huge shout out to the teachers cm caregivers.Not everyone is cut out to be special education teachers. It takes a massive amount of dedication, patience, heart, and creativity to manage these special children in a such a challenging environment.
