In his message for the 112th World Day of Migrants and Refugees, Pope Leo chose the theme “Even Just One of These Children (cf. Mt 18:10).” He advocated for the Universal Church, every Christian, and civil institutions to commit to welcoming, protecting, and caring for migrant and refugee children.

What has been used for destruction can be redirected toward life, toward the care of the poor, the nourishment of the hungry, and the safeguarding of creation.

25/09/2026

Pope Leo calls on everyone to act responsibly, asking that each person feel connected to what these migrant and refugee young people go through – even just one of these children – because every child, every human being, possesses infinite dignity and we must do our part to ensure that this is respected.

Introduce Catholic Social Teaching to Caritas at the Church of Divine Mercy in Sungai Ara. The participants engaged with the See-Judge-Act methodology to understand why people are living in poverty through the lenses of the affected person's experiences, social analysis, the Gospel, and the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, and to plan concrete actions based on needs and human dignity.

What did the youth experience during YOUMAD 3.0? They woke up early in the morning to pray and to reflect on the Word of God. In the afternoon, they visited sick refugees and people living with HIV to listen to their stories, be their friends, eat and play with them, and help clean up their homes. After the outreach, they celebrated an outdoor Mass overlooking the sunset and nature, offering up prayers for all the new friends they had just made. After dinner, they further processed and reflected on their experiences through the guidance of Fr. Paul and learned the "See, Judge, Act" method to discern what God's will is in this.

Youmad 3.0 is a formation camp for youth with the goal of empowering them to make a difference. The program took place in Batu Arang, where participants were exposed to and immersed in the lives of the sick and marginalized—Malaysians and refugees alike—to experience their sorrows and hopes. Fr. Paul Dass of the Jesuits then guided us to reflect on the experience and process our emotions using the "See, Judge, Act" methodology.

Having witnessed this suffering, we sought to understand why people suffer through personal experiences, factual data, the Gospel, and Catholic Social Teaching, ultimately discerning: "What is God's will for me in this?"

We pray that the participants may bear fruit through acts of love and continue to grow in greater faith, hope, and love.
