Today’s Hari Raya celebration by PKSIPP at the Sunway Hotel Georgetown was truly a meaningful and heartwarming success. The presence of our distinguished guests, generous supporters, and most importantly, the children and beneficiaries, brought life and joy to this special occasion.

The smiles on the faces of the children from the Ramakrishna Orphanage, Persatuan Orang Cacat Pulau Pinang, Special Children’s Centre, Shan Children Centre, and the Salvation Army Penang Children’s Home were the greatest reward of all. It reminded us why we do what we do — to bring hope, happiness, and a sense of belonging to those in need.

This luncheon not only strengthened the bonds between our organisation, community leaders, and supporters from Johor, Malacca, Kuala Lumpur and Penang, but also reaffirmed our shared commitment to compassion, unity, and service. The generous spread of food, including the Duit Hari Raya and cakes, reflected the true spirit of Hari Raya — giving, sharing, and caring for one another.

We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support of YB Jagdeep Singh Deo, Penang’s Deputy Chief Minister II, whose presence continues to inspire us, as well as all our partners, donors, and volunteers who made this event possible. Special appreciation goes to Mr Jude Nagalingam and his dedicated organising committee for putting together such a memorable and well-coordinated event.

Indeed, today was more than just a luncheon — it was a celebration of kindness, inclusivity, and community spirit. May this spirit continue to guide PKSIPP in reaching out to many more lives in the future.

Selamat Hari Raya, maaf zahir dan batin.

Food Fair Organised by Penang Shan’s Children Home Association

The Penang Shan’s Children Home Association organised a lively and meaningful Food Fair, to which PKSIPP was honoured to be invited to participate by opening a stall. Led by Ms Molly Teoh, our team sold a variety of cakes and jelly, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting Shan’s Children Home.

The event was filled with a wonderful atmosphere of fellowship and goodwill. Interactions with fellow stall operators and members of the public were pleasant and uplifting, reflecting the strong spirit of community support. Members of Setia Ikhlas also had a wonderful time working together, strengthening bonds and gaining a better understanding of one another through shared service.

Through this collective effort, we successfully raised approximately RM1,700 for the home. It was truly a rewarding experience, and we are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful cause. The remaining unsold cakes were later distributed to a few different homes, the residents had it for tea.

Christmas Joy 2025

In line with PKSIPP’s mission, Christmas is a season that reminds us of hope, love, generosity, and compassion. It is a time when hearts are softened, differences are set aside, and we are called to care for one another—especially the poor, the vulnerable, and those often forgotten. The true meaning of Christmas lies not in what we receive, but in what we give, and in the joy of sharing God’s love through acts of kindness and service. Christmas isn’t Christmas till it happens in your heart.

This Christmas season’s celebration lead by OC Ms Penny Theseira and her dedicated team, we were truly blessed to celebrate the spirit of Christmas through three meaningful celebrations, each reflecting the joy of giving and togetherness.

On 13 December 2025, we began with a Christmas celebration on the mainland at The Chastan & Imbert Church, Chai Leng Park, attended by approximately 90 participants, comprising mainly children, caregivers, and Setia Ikhlas members. The celebration was filled with laughter, songs, food, ice-cream, fellowship, and the simple yet powerful joy that Christmas brings—especially to the children, whose smiles reminded us of the innocence and hope that Christmas represents.

On the 20th December 2025, Setia Ikhlas hosted a Christmas Appreciation Dinner to honour our donors and sponsors. This evening was a heartfelt expression of gratitude to those whose generosity and faithfulness have enabled Setia Ikhlas to continue reaching out to the needy and less fortunate throughout the year. Christmas is also a time of thanksgiving, and this gathering was a meaningful reminder that every act of giving makes a difference.

The celebrations concluded on 21st December 2025 with a visit to The Little Sisters of the Poor, where we shared Christmas joy with 65 residents, as well as the devoted nuns and volunteers serving at the home. It was a touching reminder that Christmas is about presence—being there for one another, offering comfort, companionship, and love to those who need it most.

All three events were generously sponsored by YB Jagdeep Singh Deo, Penang DCM II, and the spirit of joy and unity was felt by everyone present. Truly, as the song goes, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year.”

The Christmas gifts distributed during these celebrations were subsidised by Starbucks, thanks to its CEO Dato Sydney Quays and Mr Jude Nagalingam of PTN Hospitality for hosting and being there and backing Setia Ikhlas from its inception. PKSIPP extends its sincere appreciation for this meaningful support. Lastly, to all Setia Ikhlas members and friends for your time, effort and funds. We are deeply grateful to each and everyone of you who has helped, donated, sponsored, and walked alongside us throughout the year.

As we celebrate the birth of Christ, may the message of Christmas—peace, love, humility, and selfless giving—continue to guide our hearts and actions beyond this season.

May this Christmas remind us that even the smallest act of kindness can light up a life. As we share love and joy with others, may our hearts be filled with gratitude, peace, and the true spirit of Christmas—today and always.

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it for me.”

May God bless each and every one of you and your families abundantly.🙏🏼

Wishing you and your family, a marvellous Christmas and a fruitful New Year in 2026. God Bless 🙏🏼

Pertubuhan Kebajikan Setia Ikhlas Pulau Pinang Christmas Lunch Cheer. 🎄🎅🏼🎄❤️💚❤️

PKSIPP hosted its annual Christmas Lunch Cheer at the Little Sisters of the Poor, bringing joy and festive spirit to the home’s community. The event was attended by about 100 people, including 65 residents, 11 nuns, as well as full-time and part-time volunteers. Around 20 Setia Ikhlas members and helpers were also present.

Guests enjoyed a wonderful spread of food prepared by PTN Hospitality under the guidance of Mr Kirin Pancha. The Organising Chairperson, Ms Penny Theseira, together with the working committee, transformed the venue with beautiful decorations, creating a truly Christmasy atmosphere.

YB Jagdeep Singh Deo and his family joined the celebration, personally serving food and presenting Christmas gifts to all the residents, much to everyone’s delight. Special thanks goes to Dato’ Sydney Quays from Starbucks for subsidizing the valuable gifts. Festive entertainment was provided by Sonia, who led the crowd with joyful Christmas carols, while the PKSIPP President, Dato’ Aloysius Gasper added to the cheer by performing a few numbers that had everyone singing along.

It was a heartwarming afternoon filled with joy, music, and goodwill.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🥳🤗🥳
