Experience AI 2026 Wraps Up in Kelantan ✨

Experience AI 2026 officially concluded the Kelantan edition, with 99 primary and secondary school educators participating in the AI Foundation training program. During the sessions, educators explored fundamental concepts, including how AI systems work, how machines learn from data, and the importance of safety and responsible use.

The program aimed to equip educators with the confidence and knowledge to deliver Experience AI lessons effectively while helping students better understand and use AI responsibly. Thank you to our partners, UMK Library for hosting the session, and all participating teachers in Kelantan for your active engagement and commitment to strengthening AI literacy among educators and students.

We’ve completed nine Teacher Training sessions with dedicated RBT and ASK teachers from primary and secondary schools!

Working alongside Sektor Sumber dan Teknologi Pendidikan, Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Kedah (JPNK), Penang Science Cluster delivered hands-on training for 355 teachers, exploring programming with micro:bit and Raspberry Pi, alongside 3D design and printing.

Returning to their schools with fresh knowledge, these educators are ready to spark curiosity and create meaningful STEM learning experiences for their students.

Three more sessions are coming soon to the Baling, Kuala Muda, and Yan districts, and we extend our sincere gratitude to the participating teachers and to Stellantis for their vital support in making this program possible.

The second Train-the-Trainer (TTT) session for Advanced MakerLab 2026 has officially concluded — this time for the Instructables track!

Mentors from various industries spent the day in a hands-on workshop, strengthening their understanding of electronics and coding, and even getting the chance to build prototypes based on student-selected Instructables projects. It was as practical (and fun) as it sounds.

We were also joined by newly onboarded mentors from Agilent, who took part in a short catch-up session for Project 4x4. We shared the competition overview, key guidelines, and early ideas of what students will be challenged with at PISF 2026.

With both sessions wrapped up, our mentors are now geared up and ready to support students through a five-month journey of building, experimenting, and problem-solving — all the way to the Advanced MakerLab Competition this October and the showcase at Penang International Science Fair 2026 this November.

Looking forward to what’s coming next. Let’s build something meaningful together!

MakerLab Orang Asli shines through the forests of Sg Siput and Gerik!

Our recent MakerLab workshops brought hands-on STEM learning experiences to Orang Asli students at SK Kampung Kenang and SMK RPS Banun (K11) through a series of engaging and interactive sessions designed to spark curiosity in STEM.

Students explored generative AI and design thinking workshops, where they learned how to generate ideas and solve problems through innovation-driven activities. They also gained exposure to 3D printing and 3D design, discovering the exciting possibilities of making and prototyping.

In addition, students participated in basic electronics workshops using microcontrollers, building foundational coding and hardware skills.

It has been truly inspiring to witness the students’ enthusiasm and willingness to explore new technologies despite being far from urban learning environments. Their passion reminds us that innovation can thrive anywhere when given the right opportunities and support.

We can’t wait to see the amazing projects they will showcase in upcoming competitions!

A huge thank you to Micron for their continued support and commitment to empowering these student communities.

The journey has begun for Advanced MakerLab 2026 — bringing together students, mentors, and industry partners for months of creativity, innovation, and hands-on STEM learning through three competition tracks:
🔹 Instructables (completed !)
🔹AI: Machine Vision (AI:MV) (completed !)
🔹4x4

We started strong with the Instructables workshops, where more than 130 students from schools across Penang explored Project Management, Generative AI, and Electronics through immersive two-day sessions.

At the same time, 80 students from MakerLab schools also took part in the AI:MV workshop series held over two weeks, diving into AI fundamentals, HuskyLens AI camera applications, electronics, and project ideation.

Now, the real building begins.

Over the coming months, students will brainstorm ideas, prototype solutions, troubleshoot challenges, and turn their concepts into impactful projects. Their journey will lead to the Advanced MakerLab Competition this October, before heading to MakerFest at Penang International Science Fair 2026, where they’ll showcase their work to the public and industry leaders.

A huge thank you to our industry partners — Agilent, AMD, Analog Devices, B. Braun, Keysight, Lam Research, Micron, Motorola Solutions, NI (now part of Emerson), Plexus, and ViTrox — for supporting and inspiring the next generation of makers and innovators.

Big ideas start with curiosity, and we can’t wait to see what these students create.

Experience AI 2026 brought the future of AI learning to Terengganu.💡

A total of 99 primary and secondary school educators took part in foundational AI training focused on understanding how intelligent systems work and why digital safety matters. The session aimed to help teachers deliver Experience AI lessons with confidence while supporting students in using and understanding AI responsibly.

A huge thank you to all participating teachers and partners for being part of this journey in shaping a future where AI literacy becomes accessible to every student and educator.

Following their debut at PISF last year, we are sharing a look back at the journey of the students from the MakerLab Sekolah Orang Asli program at SK Kg Kenang and SMK RPS Banun.

Our new video, "Voices from the Ground," features interviews with the students and educators reflecting on how learning coding, 3D printing, and electronics over the past year has built their confidence and shaped their perspectives on STEM.

Their journey doesn’t stop at the showcase last year. Thanks to Micron's continued support, we are back to engage more students this year by delivering further technical workshops and guiding them through advanced project building.

A big thank you to Micron Foundation and Micron Technology Malaysia (Micron Malaysia) for their commitment to nurturing young talent in every community.
