*We need to talk about a real problem 💔*
Neutering and TNR is a great solution. Feeders are most appreciated and tnr would not work without them.
If every single person adopted one or two cats or dogs there would be no stray problem! ..But none of this works if dumpers keep getting away.
Right now, rescuers and feeders are paying out of pocket for cats or dogs someone else abandoned.
SAMA is using donated funds to clean up a mess we didn’t make.
Meanwhile the people who dumped their pets walk away Scott free.
We need to catch dumpers. Ask the authorities to Fine them. Use those fines to pay for the neutering and care of the animals the dumpers left behind!
Instead, the people taking in “too many” get punished. The ones who walked away with zero responsibility get their bills paid by us.
If we don’t hold dumpers accountable, the stray population will never get under control.
Help us by watching out and reporting dumpers.
Turn your cctvs towards known dumping spots.
Hold them accountable.
If you report you must ask for the Animal Welfare Act to be enforced where the fines are 20 to 100k and not the older ACT which is limited to about 2000.
