Come walk with us for an evening and make a dog’s whole week!
The tails. The wiggles. The excitement.
Our dogs in paid boarding at Tulsi Petcare Centre are SO happy and they get SO overjoyed when they see our Waggy Walkers!

Many of these dogs have been waiting for a home for years and this walk brings a little bit of home to them.

We don't discriminate which dog in the boarding goes on the walk they are not all under SAMA but they are all different shapes and sizes and they all need love!

Thank you to the Mayor, Dato Rajendran P Anthony, the MBPP and everyone who made this happen.

Many Animal NGO's, shelters etc in Penang were invited to attend an engagement session where we discussed how to work together for animal welfare and strays in Penang — both cats and dogs.

We are so thankful that our voices were heard and really listened to.
We are proud of all the NGOs who spoke up. We are all facing the same issues.
We are very, very blessed to have been able to speak them out and hopefully we can all work together to find solutions.

We will also be having an on-site meeting to discuss and hopefully implement some solution based ideas.

Once again , we are very thankful and proud of Penang.

This post is for animal lovers and it is for all who do not want to see strays on the streets. Instead of complaining about them as some of you are doing here, please donate to your local ngo to have them neutered so that there's no more breeding. Please donate to have them put into a boarding. Please do something. But don't complain about them when you are not taking any steps to solve this problem , which is on all of us.
The majority of people here are the ones that are actually doing something those people who are complaining here should be thanking them.
We, along with our country, stand for Rocky, and for all dogs and animals who have been abused.
And for a human trying to save their beloved dog.

It is time to stop. It is time for animals to have better rights.

Our Animal Welfare Act must be reformed, and those who commit these heinous crimes must be sufficiently punished and removed from society.

Animals do not take anything from us. We take everything from them.
We take their land and they don’t complain, they just move. All they want is to be with us, yet we abandon them.
Dogs will search for humans until they collapse. We call on them when a human is in trouble, but when they are in trouble, where are we?

Today it was a beloved pet. Tomorrow it could be a stray.
It doesn’t matter if they have a home or not — they are all lives that matter.

How many more dogs have to die before people stand up for them to live?

We have happy tears as we found homes for 3 Tanjong Bungah market cats 🙏
Someone stepped forward and said: _"I’ve got them. I know. You have nowhere to put them, they’re not allowed to be returned to the market. I will take them!"_

It’s like music to our ears. Like every bit of stress just gets washed away in a beautiful flowing waterfall of hope.

*Update:*
We also found homes for 3 of the JLT market cats!
Jalyssa - the mummy, Junity daughter and Junison.

They will go to homes tomorrow just in time.
The deadline from TNR team is for returning them on Monday...
That leaves just 2 who are due to go back: Jutopia and Junique - still babies...

They’ve recovered from their surgeries. They know safety now.
We are worried that if they go back to the market, the feeder may no longer be coming. We removed the whole family. We don’t know if the feeder was the one who dumped them.

Can you take Jutopia and Junique in? Adopt or foster.
All of us are overflowing in our own homes. SAMA is paying to board many.

Please share this. One share could be the home they need.
Its very hard to send them back but what can we do, we have been appealing for one person to step up.We just need one 🙏🏼even if just temporary foster care 🙏🏼

We don’t know how to do this...
How do we return them to the streets?

The JLT neutering project cats have recovered from their spaying surgeries.
And now they have to go back to their area amongst demolished housing.

We found out Jalyssa is Junity’s mummy. When they were reunited, Jalyssa just put her arm around her daughter. To protect her. To make sure they would never be separated again. (See photo).

For over a week they’ve been safe. Clean. Loved. In someone’s bathroom.
Now we have to send them back to dirty rubble, traffic, dogs and weather that swings from pouring rain to burning hot.

The feral ones, we can do it. It’s what’s best.
But this family?
And the others who have learned to trust?
It breaks us.

Please help us by sharing this.
Can you open your heart? Can you open your home?
Adopt. Foster. Even just share so the right person sees them.

They are such beautiful cats. And they deserve more than going back to struggle to survive, they deserve to live!
If you don’t love animals, please do it for the humans who are suffering just as much seeing this.

Our hearts are so touched by this lovely mini sanctuary!
With ample space, shelves, cozy beds, fresh food and water.
A little haven built right beside an office for the stray cats who had nowhere safe to go.

This was done by a friend of SAMA and true SAMAritan. We are so proud and amazed by it that we just had to share.

Proof that you don’t need a big shelter. Sometimes you just need some creativity and people who care.

We hope this inspires others.
If we could have spaces like this all over Penang, it would be life-changing for all the cats who have nowhere safe to go.

Long version!

Another very kind and concerned tourist who came to Penang for medical treatment, reached out to us for help. This time, it’s for a pregnant black mama cat.

The heartbreaking part is… she’s still just a kitten herself, only about 6–7 months old. Before she even had the chance to grow up, she’s already carrying babies.

The tourist will be flying home on Wednesday, and once she leaves, Ma-suri (Queen Mother) would have no one left to care for her.

Ma-suri moves from a shoplot, across a busy road to an apartment.
The Guards and people there hate cats.

We posted out for help as we don't have a place and we've run out of fosterers but when it's a tourist and they can't find anyone else to help them we couldn't turn away.

A very kind soul saw our pleas and stepped up! We are amazed and absolutely delighted!

We have bailed out the latest 2 cats caught at Tg Bungah market!!

Their Aunty feeds them at the market but...
She did NOT dump them. She did NOT abandon them.
All she did was take pity, feed them and with help from those around, get them *neutered*.

They are healthy, fat, and don’t disturb anyone.

Some of them have been there for years. This is the home that they have known and they are very loved.

Please don't complain that is the only reason they were caught!

Now these cats can never be returned to the only home they know, to the feeders they know and love and who love them , because somebody complained!

For the last few daze we heard the market has been like a ghost town, most people are sad...

These cats are very well looked after, a feeder has trained them to go outside to pe**ee and not make any mess in the market.

Now where are they to go?

Please help us help these cats find a home.

They are now at Animal Hope Vet along with one just spayed. Thank you very much!

While waiting we need to raise funds for their keep until we can find *fosters, adopters or a safe place* for them.

*This is the pattern:*
People dump cats → kind people or ngos feed and neuter them → kindness gets complained about → Rescuers have to pay (neuter fees, vet bills, food, boarding etc)

*It isn’t fair to make rescuers pay for other people’s sins.*

*Please help:*
1 Donate
2 Share to find fosters or adopters
3 Spare a space in your garden (if yr in Tg Bungah), the feeder can help feed them
4 Speak up — catch the complainers, catch the dumpers, not the feeders.

The cats did nothing wrong. Their only fault was being dumped.
Let’s not punish kindness. 🙏🐾
