*We need to talk about a real problem 💔*

Neutering and TNR is a great solution. Feeders are most appreciated and tnr would not work without them.
If every single person adopted one or two cats or dogs there would be no stray problem! ..But none of this works if dumpers keep getting away.

Right now, rescuers and feeders are paying out of pocket for cats or dogs someone else abandoned.
SAMA is using donated funds to clean up a mess we didn’t make.

Meanwhile the people who dumped their pets walk away Scott free.

We need to catch dumpers. Ask the authorities to Fine them. Use those fines to pay for the neutering and care of the animals the dumpers left behind!

Instead, the people taking in “too many” get punished. The ones who walked away with zero responsibility get their bills paid by us.

If we don’t hold dumpers accountable, the stray population will never get under control.

Help us by watching out and reporting dumpers.
Turn your cctvs towards known dumping spots.
Hold them accountable.
If you report you must ask for the Animal Welfare Act to be enforced where the fines are 20 to 100k and not the older ACT which is limited to about 2000.

Update as of 5th June evening he is still with us but he is struggling to keep his food down your prayers are helping him more than you know that's all we have now we are trying everything.

P came to us broken. Neglected, malnourished, betrayed by the one who was supposed to love him.

Now his little body is fighting FIP, FeLV, and chronic kidney disease. He’s so weak this evening. Back on the feeding tube, new meds, hes already had a blood transfusion too soon for another.
Up and down, up and down.

He didn’t ask for this. He doesn’t deserve this.

If you see this, please send him well wishes. Or Comment that you care so he can feel it. Let him know he’s not alone. Let him know he’s loved now.

Don’t let the last few months steal the rest of his life. Hold on, P. We’re all behind you.

*The work you don’t see. 💔*

Most days we’re behind the scenes. Answering messages at all hours. Guiding people on what to do with a sick stray. Talking someone out of giving up. No photos, no applause. Just doing it because the animals can’t.

Then days like today happen.

Someone dumped a cat outside a dog shelter. Left the poor baby in a bag. In the rain. Surrounded by dogs. Not just abandoning family, but abandoning them to fear.

If this was a mistake and you lost your cat: please contact us.

If this was intentional: we’re checking CCTV from the nearby clinic and shelter owner will report this under the Animal Welfare Act 2015. Penalties go from RM20k to RM100k.

Abandoning an animal is one of the cruelest things you can do. If you’re in trouble, post out
Ask for help. People may donate. People may foster. But don’t leave animals alone in a bag.

This poor cat lost their family. Is there anyone who can foster now? This baby deserves safety, not a dog shelter in a bag.
This cat hasn't moved he is absolutely terrified he won't eat he won't drink you cruel person this is really an outrage

Some Quick updates for our Big hearted readers and sharers. 🐾*

The boy that was badly neglected is doing well. Hanging in there, eating on his own. Some ups, some downs, but we’re holding on to hope. Thank you for all your prayers.

*Groom*: The kitten brought to the vet using only one leg... He’s flying now. Three legs, zero limits. Jumping, racing around, full of beans and very smart!. Ready for adoption soon once vaccinated. Pls Foster him if you can’t adopt yet.

Remember The 8 Fire Kittens*: They should’ve died in the ashes. But one SAMAritan saved 2 mummies + 8 babies. All 8 are vaccinated, gorgeous, and ready for homes.

The babies all have names reminiscent of fire that dances in our eyes, not the kind that destroys. Just like the year of thefire horse May they gallop home and be loved like an eternal flame.

Pls Adopt. Foster or Donate.
Be the person they choose.

Six years ago this baby was adopted from SAMA. We stayed in touch and loved every photo update we got.

Then tragedy hit his family. Somehow he ended up malnourished, abandoned and in this terrible state of neglect.

When someone who regularly checks in on the cats saw him she was shocked, he walked up to her like he was begging _“Please take me away.”_

When She informed us we asked if she could rush him straight to the vet.

He’s fighting for his life. He's been in and out of ICU he's had a blood transfusion he's been on and off a feeding tube The bills are exorbitant, but we can’t give up on him.

*This is why we screen so strictly.* It’s nothing personal. Even then, sometimes neglectful humans slip through the cracks.

We’ve been betrayed. He’s been betrayed.
Please pray for him. Please help us save him.

Monday = Beach Waggy Walks 🌊🐕

Sandy paws. Splashy tails. Pure joy.

Our dogs were out on the beach for their regular Waggy Walks, loving the sea breeze and a paddle in the water.

We welcome some new volunteers Who met us at straits Quay social how wonderful is that!
Our doggies are very good with new people They listen well. They lean in for cuddles and treats, wet and sandy and perfect.

Honestly We don’t know why they’re still waiting.

Homes need this kind of joy.

*You might not be looking to adopt, but one share from you could be the reason two souls find each other who were meant to be.* Please share
Pls contact us to meet them

Message to us from Debra!
We have landed in Canada! And now spending a night at a pet friendly hotel

A 10 Hour Drive tomorrow.

Sophie is doing fine and is very hungry
Chloe ate and only had insulin one time. She never went to the toilet in her carriers. Such a good girl.

Cindi did p*e in her hers.
I think they did it because we had a lot of turbulence between Hong Kong and Canada

Cindi is still very scared and hiding

*Meanwhile back to the markets where people dump cats… 💔➡️💛*

We’ve wrapped up our *Mini Margaret Project* — 10 cats neutered with a subsidy thanks to the loving memory of Margaret.

Margaret may be gone, but her kindness lives on in every kitten that won’t be born on the streets. Thank you, Margaret. 🐾

And we’ve already launched the next project: *The Harry Neutering Project*.

Harry is a little previously abused, neglected poodle adopted from SAMA. He was a foster failure the kind you pray for. Despite terrible health issues, his family chose to adopt him. Fought for him. Love him.

Harry just moved to Thailand with them, and they say he’s one of the best things that ever happened to them.

During their move, they sent SAMA a beautiful donation. So we named this project after our beloved Harry. Because that’s what rescue does it comes full circle. The ones that may never get homed are helped by those who do,

The cats pictured are some of the cats from the Margaret + Harry projects. No more babies for them. No more suffering for their kittens. Just a chance at a safer life.

To Margaret, to Harry, and to everyone who makes this possible:
*Thank you.*

This is how we fight the dumping. One neuter at a time.

*✈️ Debra’s Journey Update: Hong Kong ➡️ Canada*

Debra's 3 fur family members spent the night in Hong Kong and are back at the airport now, waiting to check in for the long flight to Canada.

Her diabetic cat, Chloe, will fly in the cabin with her. Chloe needs insulin and blood sugar tests, so Mama keeps her close. That’s what family does.

All is well. Let’s wish them the most comfortable, safe trip. We can’t wait for them to arrive

Thank you for every message you’ve sent Debra, she’s so touched, and so are we.

*Debra is an inspiration.*
Moving from a house to a condo? Having a baby? That’s not a reason to abandon your fur kids. Debra is taking hers across the world_.

Having furry babies is a two-way thing Chloe is proof. When Debra feels sad, Chloe puts her paw on her heart. That’s love. That’s family.

There is no excuse to abandon your loved ones.

We’ll update you when they land. Meanwhile, pls keep sending all your love for the flight✈️💛

*Writing through tears 💔✈️*

Debra’s three babies began their journey today.

This is how you do it, everyone.

She’s going all the way to Canada. And her babies are going with her.
She doesn’t leave them behind. She doesn’t abandon them.
They _are_ family.

There was never a question in any of our minds that they wouldn’t be going with her. Because that’s what love looks like. That’s what commitment means.

Please wish Debra and her furkids the safest journey across the world. 🐾💛

We miss you already, Debra. Canada just got so much luckier.

Once SAMA, always SAMA.
