Moreover, LogM plays a crucial role in accrediting tertiary and professional programmes offered by universities and higher learning institutions. By providing this accreditation, LogM ensures that these programmes meet the highest standards in logistics education and training. Additionally, LogM offers consulting services to a diverse range of entities, including governments, trade associations, traders, manufacturers, and industries. These consultancies primarily focus on areas such as logistics, transport, and supply chain management. Our President of LogM (The Society of Logisticians Malaysia - Pertubuhan Pakar Logistik Malaysia), YBhg. Prof. Dato' Log. Ts. Dr. Chang Kah Loon (拿督曾家麟教授), PhD (USM), FCILT, FLogM, mentioned in his speech at the recent “AK Corps Officers Networking and Lantern Night 2026” (hosted by the St John Ambulance of Malaysia AK Academy Corps), when our Honorary President of LogM, YBhg. Dato' Seri Log. Dr. Yee Thiam Sun (拿督斯里余添山医生), FLogM, was also in attendance, that the professional collective mark or prefix "Log." is strictly for our FLogM (Senior Logistician) and MLogM (Professional Logistician) only, pursuant to the Trademaks Act 2019 and Trademarks Regulations 2019.

Whereas, ALogM (Associate Logistician) carries no professional mark or prefix associated with LogM.

For admission to LogM, the applicants should have possessed at least a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transport, or Supply Chain Management.

Alternatively, for working executives with a non-logistics first degree or professionals from other fields, the candidates are eligible to go for the LogM QEC (LogM Qualifying Examination Certificate), which contains 4 papers and 1 presentation. (Terms and conditions apply). This process can be completed and done within 6 months, with only 21 hours (online) per month.

The Penang Master Builders (PMB), a trade association for the construction and building materials sector, hosted its 149th Anniversary Celebration Dinner on 28 September 2026 (Mon). The celebration brought together more than 650 attendees, including their member companies, government agencies, industry leaders, and professionals, including engineers, architects, surveyors, etc. The atmosphere was indeed lovely and warm with friendly greetings between friends and business associates.

Our professional logisticians are involved in nearly every industry, particularly in the growth of the construction and building materials sector, both directly and indirectly, by ensuring the smooth flow of building materials through our planning and management of various logistics methods, including intermodal and multimodal transport operations.

The Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) hosted its Prelude Event of the AIAC Asia ADR Week 2026 – "Road to Kainos: The Northern Edition" in Penang on 25 September 2026 (Friday).

Our respected professional logistician, YBhg. Dato' Log. Ts. Dr. Chang Kah Loon (拿督曾家麟博士), PhD (USM), FCILT, FLogM, who's also a Certified Logistics Mediator (CLM), joined the Panel Discussion: “When the Cargo Stops: Where do the Port and Logistics Disputes Begin?” He professionally explained the practices of logistics, especially maritime logistics, the potential issues of disagreement between parties, and the encouragement of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in logistics.

Dato' Dr. Chang sincerely urged the industry practitioners to perform adaptations and adoptions, ensure lifelong learning, and go for logistics education and training if they intend to expand their markets and business regionally and globally. Generally, those who know logistics well can enjoy significant cost savings in business transactions, including exports and imports. Alternatively, they can seek advice and assistance from certified professional logisticians.

Other panellists in the respective sessions included practising lawyers, surveyors, and architects.

The CEO of AIAC, YBhg. Datuk Danesh Chandran Velaitham, attended the event along with more than 60 practitioners, including our professional logisticians from LogM and CILT, such as Log. Ts.
