Penang YMCA was delighted to welcome Taichung YMCA for GATN 2026 | Bond. Build. Bloom. from 15–22 August 2026, bringing together 10 participants for a week of family bonding, meaningful connections and new experiences in Penang. 🌏
The programme kicked off at Penang Tropical Fruit Farm , where the families learned about different tropical fruits, fruit tasting and planted papaya seeds. 🌱 Then we had a fun-filled board game session, and everyone fell in love with the Nasi Lemak Card Game, and saw who wrapped the most! 🃏😆
We also spent two meaningful days on community service, connecting with children through arts & crafts, singing and 16 fun games with gifts. Seeing the smiles, laughter and friendships grow was truly heartwarming. 🥰
After the community service, we do rice planting and catfish catching at Kampung Agong and DIY chocolate making at Harriston Boutique Penang making time together even more memorable. 🌾🐟🍫
From batik painting & beach clean-up to nature guide walks at Penang Hill and exploring the streets of Penang Heritage, every day brought something new to discover, learn & enjoy.🎨
It was a week filled with laughter, joy, family bonding & meaningful experiences. Most importantly, the best memories are made when we experience them together. ✨
Through GATN, we look forward to creating more memories, building stronger connections and welcoming our friends back to Penang again!🤍💙🩷
