[The real win was the friendships we made]

Penang YMCA was honoured to host the YM Sports Badminton Friendly Match on 27 July 2026, bringing together 26 young players, including 8 youth athletes from the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong, 16 local players, and 2 international students currently studying in Penang, one from China and one from Japan.

As part of the YM Sports Badminton Training Camp 2.0 and the 125th Anniversary of the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong, this friendly match marked another meaningful chapter in the long-standing friendship between our two YMCAs.

Thank you to every player, coach, volunteer, and supporter for making this gathering so meaningful. We hope the friendships formed here will continue to grow, and we look forward to meeting again, both on and off the court. 🏸❤️

Penang YMCA proudly welcomed the return of the YM Sports Badminton Training Camp 2.0, hosting young athletes from the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong from 25–29 July 2026. This year’s programme was made even more meaningful as it celebrated the 125th Anniversary of Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong, marking another milestone in the friendship between our two YMCAs.

Through badminton training, friendly matches, cultural visits, and team activities, participants strengthened their skills, built friendships, and experienced the unique heritage and flavours of Penang.

We look forward to continuing this meaningful partnership through more youth exchanges, leadership development, and cross-cultural learning opportunities in the future.
