LIGHT IT UP GOLD 2026 OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED
The official Light It Up Gold 2026 launch followed the Dream Walker session, bringing together distinguished community leaders, government representatives, corporate supporters, dancers, families and members of the public.

Dare2Dream Dance & Talent Championship 2026 successfully concludes as Penang community comes together for childhood cancer awareness
PENANG, 9 AUGUST 2026 — What began with young dancers competing on stage ended with hundreds of people walking together under candlelight — as Dare2Dream Dance & Talent Championship 2026 successfully concluded and Light It Up Gold officially celebrated 11 years of hope in Penang.
Held on 8 and 9 August 2026 at Sunshine Central Mall, the two-day Dare2Dream championship brought together dancers, performers, families and supporters, turning talent and entertainment into a platform for a greater purpose.
The official Light It Up Gold 2026 – 11th Anniversary Launch took place on Sunday, 9 August, under the theme:
DANCE WITH PURPOSE • WALK WITH CONFIDENCE • LIGHT UP HOPE
Founded by Ms. Tracie Chan in 2016, Light It Up Gold continues its mission to create awareness and support for children and families affected by childhood cancer.
DARE2DREAM: TALENT WITH A PURPOSE
The successful completion of the Dare2Dream Dance & Talent Championship 2026 marked another milestone for Dare2Dream in providing a platform for young performers to showcase their talent, build confidence and grow.
The championship was more than a competition. Participants youngest age 3 to 69.
It was an opportunity to remind young performers that talent can have a purpose beyond the stage — inspiring others, creating awareness and giving back to the community.
For Tracie Chan, Founder & Director of Dare2Dream Management and Principal of Dare2Dream Academy, the successful event demonstrated how the performing arts can become a vehicle for positive social impact.
FROM ONE DREAM TO HUNDREDS OF LIGHTS
The successful completion of Dare2Dream Dance & Talent Championship 2026 and the launch of Light It Up Gold 2026 – 11th Anniversary showed what can happen when talent meets purpose.
A participant who never thought they could become a model discovered confidence.
Young dancers discovered that their talent can make a difference.
And 300 people walked with candles to remind children fighting cancer that they are not alone.
The journey continues on 4 October, when the community comes together again for the Light It Up Gold Celebration & Charity Wellness Day.
