Education is evolving and today’s conversation reminded us why it matters more than ever.

At the Education Plenary Session of the Commonwealth–ASEAN Summit 2025, our distinguished panel unpacked how we can bridge the skills gap, strengthen industry–education partnerships, and ensure AI and digital innovation empower not exclude our youth.

Recap of Commonwealth-ASEAN Summit 2025.

We opened the summit with a warm and meaningful Welcome Address by Peshminder Pall Singh, Project Director of the Commonwealth ASEAN Summit 2025. His remarks reflected on the journey leading up to this gathering, the collective effort behind the summit’s preparations, and the shared vision of strengthening Commonwealth–ASEAN cooperation through youth leadership, policy dialogue, and cross-regional collaboration.

This was followed by an inspiring Opening Keynote delivered by Muskaan Anand, Asia Regional Representative of the Commonwealth Youth Council. Her address highlighted the pivotal role of young people in shaping regional development, advancing people-to-people connectivity, and driving innovative, youth-led solutions across the Commonwealth and ASEAN.

Together, their messages set a powerful tone for the summit with one rooted in unity, purpose, and the belief that young leaders can shape a more inclusive, resilient, and forward-looking future for both regions.
