On 21 April 2026, Postal Forum convened the Safety and Security Dialogue for Postal Industry โ bringing together regulators, Ministries, Government agencies and industry players to address pressing safety and security challenges facing the sector.
With e-commerce driving parcel volumes beyond 1.5 billion annually, the industry faces growing risks โ from misuse of courier channels for illicit activities, to dangerous goods handling and rider safety concerns. This dialogue was our direct response to those challenges.
Around 30 representatives from postal service providers participated, including Pos Malaysia, Best Global Logistic, City-Link Express, FedEx, FMX, GD Express, J&T Express, Ninja Logistics, Skynet Worldwide, SPX Xpress, Teleport Commerce, Yamato Transport and more.
Regulators and enforcement bodies - MCMC, MOH, PDRM, JKDM, PERHILITAN, APAD, DOSH and PERKESO shared their regulatory expectations, enforcement priorities and roles, enabling open and meaningful dialogue with industry players.
As we said today: "Our role is to bridge regulation and practice โ building an industry where operators understand their obligations and uphold them voluntarily, for the benefit of consumers and the nation."
Postal Forum will continue to drive industry engagement through strategic collaborations, capacity building and ongoing dialogue โ strengthening self-regulation across Malaysia's postal and courier ecosystem.
