槟城州首席部长曹观友日前前往大山脚柔府村市场会见村民，与当地民众亲切交流，深入了解基层生活与民生需求。

首长在完成行程后，顺道到访由大山脚地平线狮子会（Lions Club of Bukit Mertajam Horizon）推动建设的狮子会社区凉亭（Lions Club Community Gazebo），以实际行动表达对社区公益与基层建设的支持。

首长的到来，获得狮子会团队的热烈欢迎。出席迎接者包括 会长拿督温志隆、筹委会主席兼秘书长张海庭、财政兼副会长张婷婷、副秘书长拿汀蔡赛玫、副会长胡清燕、营销主席洪纯菌、理事苏世雄 以及 会员游慧珊。众人在社区凉亭前合影留念，现场气氛温馨融洽，充分展现狮子会团队精神与服务社会的初心。

在交流过程中，狮子会代表向首长简要介绍社区凉亭的设立背景与用途。该凉亭作为一项社区关怀项目，旨在为村民、长者及弱势群体提供一个遮风避雨、休憩交流的公共空间，体现狮子会一贯秉持的 “We Serve（我们服务）” 精神。

值得一提的是，该社区凉亭计划是一项规模宏大、深具影响力的公益项目，成功凝聚共58个狮子会携手参与建设社区凉亭，展现狮子会跨会合作、齐心服务社会的强大力量。同时，此项计划也 成功获颁《马来西亚纪录大全》认证，成为极具代表性的性社区公益典范。

此外，该项目更获得 国际层面的积极响应，共有来自10个国家与城市的狮子会组织参与其中，包括马来西亚、中国、日本、新加坡、印尼、泰国、香港、菲律宾、不丹以及美国关岛，充分彰显狮子会国际网络的凝聚力，以及社区服务无国界的精神。

同时，大山脚地平线狮子会也向首长正式发出邀请，诚邀曹观友于今年3月28日（星期六） 出席并主持狮子会社区凉亭开幕仪式。届时活动内容包括社区凉亭正式启用、凉亭移交予当地村长，以及 分发100份长者福利礼包，为有需要的长者送上温暖与关怀。

主办单位表示，希望透过该项目进一步凝聚社区力量，并与州政府携手推动更具温度与持续性的社区公益服务。狮子会也对首长百忙之中拨冗到访表示由衷感谢，并期待首长届时莅临主持开幕，为社区公益事业注入更多正能量。
