🌿 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗜𝗡. 𝗡𝗢𝗪, 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗜𝗧 𝗕𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗦 🌿

With 421 submissions received from our young reporters, the NYRE Competition 2026 judging process is officially underway!

Our jury is carefully reviewing every entry, and while we’re working to complete the process as soon as possible, the results are currently projected to be 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. 🏆

In the meantime, we’ve got something ready for you! Certificates of Participation have been released early to support schools with their PAJSK documentation. Check the email address you provided in your submission form to find your certificate.

So, young reporters… you’ve done your part. Now sit back, stay tuned, and let the stories speak. 🌱

And... that's a wrap! A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to observe, investigate, create and share their environmental stories with us. Give yourselves a round of applause (we can only do it digitally so...) 👏🏻

And what a response we got! We are amazed to have received 𝟰𝟮𝟭 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 from our young reporters across NYRE 2026!

From stories about local environmental challenges to creative solutions and perspectives from young people, every submission represents a voice that chose to speak up for the planet.

So, what happens next?
The submission period is 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱, we will begin screening and our jury panel will begin the judging process after. We’ll be taking the time to carefully review each entry before the winners are announced.

Need a little more time to polish your NYRE submission? Good news, the deadline has officially been extended! ✨

Following the high demand for an extension from participants, the submission deadline for the National Young Reporters for the Environment (NYRE) Competition 2026 has been extended from 𝟯𝟭 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟬 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

That means you now have a few extra days to strengthen your story, review your evidence, double-check your category requirements and make sure your final submission represents your best work.

But remember, an extended deadline means more time to improve, not more time to procrastinate! 👀 Use these extra days wisely and give your entry that final polish before hitting submit.
