Christmas is more than just a season of joy and generosity; it’s a celebration of the profound mystery of the Incarnation. The eternal Son of God, taking on human flesh to save sinners and reconcile us to the Father. In the humble town of Bethlehem, a baby was born, yet this child was the fulfillment of God’s eternal plan, a Savior, Christ the Lord.
Our energetic youths had performed a skit on the birth of the baby Jesus Christ 👶🏻 at the manger in Bethlehem, portraying the key characters like Joseph, Mary, the shepherds and the Magi.
Rev Linberg also delivered a sermon message centred on Matthew 2:1-12, reflecting on the different responses from the people (King Herod, the chief priests and the Magi, or commonly known as the wise men) towards the birth of Jesus Christ.
We are immensely thankful to God that 7 infants and 1 adult were baptised yesterday, as they publicly declared their faith and started this journey of rebirth and commitment to Christ.
Lastly we ended our Christmas service with church choir performance 🎶 and brunch afterwards 🍱.
May we look beyond the lights and festivities and fix our hearts on the true wonder of Christmas—Jesus Christ ✝️. Let us worship the King who was born to die so that we might live and let us proclaim with joy that Christ is Lord of all.
