There are many emanations of Buddha, who, if we invoke upon, meditate upon, and we do prayers to, they can eliminate problems such as obstructions to long life, disease, they definitely can help. If we have a long life free of disease, with a sound, clear mind, we can do so much to benefit others and ourselves.

When our life is constantly threatened by disease or disasters or shortness of life, it is a tremendous obstacle, to say the least, to our spiritual practice. To be born in a country that you are allowed to practice, to be near a teacher, to have heard about Buddha’s teachings, to be able to, in the comfort of your own home, practice to improve your mind, to gain awareness, to gain clarity, to gain wisdom, to gain knowledge is really, really a rare congregation of different environmental, physical causes all coming into play. Even hearing the Buddha’s name and having faith is a rare occasion.

So when we have gotten such a perfect human body, perfect – meaning, it is sound, is operable, you know we are not paralysed or something, we have a sound mind, and slow or fast, it doesn’t matter, and we have an operable body and we are near a teacher, and we have heard the dharma, we have the opportunity to learn and expand and become better, it is really, really a rare confluence of positive merits and prayers and blessings from previous lives.

Tsem Ladrang and Kechara are extremely happy and honoured to share the most joyful news that the unmistaken incarnation of our beloved founder and spiritual guide has been found!

His Eminence the 26th Tsem Rinpoche Drakpa Tenzin was officially recognised on September 18, 2024 by Panglung Gyalchen Dorje Shugden.

Born in 2021, the precious reincarnation (yangsi) of the 25th Tsem Rinpoche was discovered after a thorough investigation following oracular pronouncements given by the Great Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden.

In response to repeated requests for guidance from H.E. Kensur Rinpoche Lobsang Phende the abbot emeritus of Shar Gaden Monastery, and the changtsos (managers) of Tsem Ladrang and Kechara, the Protector clearly foretold, with his omniscient wisdom mind, details of the reincarnation’s place of birth, the names of his father and mother, and his personal name. In the course of our search, each of these details were corroborated. Numerous auspicious indications further confirmed that the boy was indeed the special child we were looking for.

On August 6, 2025, the official hair-cutting ceremony was performed by Panglung Gyalchen Dorje Shugden and Rinpoche’s incarnation name and long life prayer was given by Panglung Yumar Gyalchen during official trance at Kechara Forest Retreat.

On the auspicious day of August 9, 2025, Yangsi Rinpoche was officially enthroned at his seat in Kechara Forest Retreat, in the presence of Venerable Abbots, reincarnate masters, geshes, and hundreds of devout ordained and lay participants.

Following the enthronement ceremony, a tenshug long life puja was offered to the young incarnation, presided over by the Vajra Master H.E. Panglung Choeje Rinpoche (Ven. Choeji-la).

The auspicious celebration concluded with a lunch offering from Tsem Ladrang, speeches from Ven. Choeji-la and Ven. Geshe Jangchup Gyaltsen, and offerings of music, dance and various cultural performances.

205. Manjushri Lion’s Roar (Main figure)

(Top to bottom): Manjushri Lion’s Roar and Dorje Shugden

Deity: Manjushri Lion’s Roar (English)
Alternative names: Jampel Sengetra (Tibetan); Vadisimha Manjushri (Sanskrit)
Manjushri is the patron Buddha of Wisdom. In his right hand, he holds a flaming wisdom sword which cuts away the roots of ignorance from our lives and in his left hand, he holds the stem of a lotus on top of which rests a Perfection of Wisdom text. This text is symbolic of his practice granting wisdom, insight and merit. This form of Manjushri is known as Vadisimha Manjushri, literally meaning ‘Manjushri Lion’s Roar’, as he rides on a lion. This name actually refers to a variety of Manjushri’s classical forms. In some forms Manjushri holds a sword like in this depiction; in others, he forms the Dharmachakra (Wheel of Dharma) mudra at his heart. The most famous depiction of Manjushri Lion’s Roar can be found prominently featured in temples on Mount Wu Tai (Wu Tai Shan), also known as the Five Peaks of Manjushri. There are also a number of depictions of Manjushri Lion’s Roar at the Manjushri Chapel in Sakya, Tibet which has contributed to the prevalence of Manjushri’s worship in this form.

Deity: Dorje Shugden (Tibetan)
Alternative name: Vajra Rudra (Sanskrit)
Dorje Shugden is an emanation of the Buddha of Wisdom, Manjushri. He took the form of a Dharma Protector in order to safeguard the Buddha’s teachings, especially the important teachings on the Middle Way View. Reminiscent of Manjushri’s form, Dorje Shugden carries a meandering sword and rides a snowlion that represents the fearlessness of a fully enlightened Buddha. Thus, he has great strength to overcome obstacles of the body, speech and mind, and create suitable conditions for our spiritual practice to flourish. Furthermore, he carries a jewel-spitting mongoose and a vajra hook to symbolise that he has the tremendous ability to bestow wealth and resources.

103. Arya Asanga (Main Figure)

(Top to bottom): Arya Asanga and Dorje Shugden

Deity: Asanga (Sanskrit)
Alternative name: Thogme (Tibetan)

Asanga is one of the most famous Indian Buddhist masters and saints. In Tibet, he is known as one of the Two Crowns, referring to two important Buddhist masters. The other of the Two Crowns is the great master Nagarjuna. Asanga lived in the 4th Century and was the elder brother of Vasubandhu. He was born in Purusapura within the ancient Kingdom of Gandhara (which was located in what is now known as Pakistan).

He studied the treatises of the Three Baskets along with those on the Mahayana tradition and the Perfection of Wisdom. Upon receiving initiation, he entered into a long retreat at Birdsfoot Mountain. During three years of intensive practice, he did not receive a single sign of accomplishment. He became despondent and wanted to break his retreat a few times but was inspired to continue. Finally, he became despondent again and as he emerged from his cave, he chanced upon a dying female dog covered in maggots. He was immediately filled with compassion and he decided to cut a piece of his own flesh so he could transfer the maggots over to it. When he was about to use his tongue to lick the maggots off the wound, the dog suddenly disappeared and Arya Maitreya appeared before him in all his splendour.

Asanga was overjoyed and asked Maitreya why it took so long for him to appear. Maitreya said he was in the cave with Asanga all along but due to Asanga’s obscurations, Asanga was unable to perceive him. In order to prove his point, he instructed Asanga to carry him on his shoulders to the nearest town. While in town, nobody could see Maitreya and only two people saw anything at all. One saw a dead dog and the other Maitreya’s feet and as a result, they gained certain levels of worldly attainments.
Later, Maitreya brought Asanga up to Tush*ta pure land and there Asanga received teachings from Maitreya. These teachings were transcribed and became known as the ‘Five Treatises of Maitreya’. Together with Asanga’s own commentaries, these texts became the basis for the philosophical schools known as Yogachara or Chittamatra.

The Magnificent Standing Dorje Shugden.

A Daily Request for Wealth1, Peace2 and Protection3
Composed by H.E. Tsem Rinpoche

In the heavens4 there are myriad manifestations of the divine. All those manifestations specifically show us different aspects of divinity5 in order to be of benefit to all living beings. All the rupakaya6 forms of the divine have compassion, skillful means and wisdom. We invoke upon them whether we are happy, sad, down, lost, fulfilled, confused, empty, and during the whole range of emotions we constantly experience due to an untrained mind.

Understanding our nature, Great Wisdom Being Dorje Shugden, therefore all the more so, please hold us close to your bosom as an only child to a parent.

Though the manifestations of the divine need no offerings and gifts from us, we offer you supreme Manjushri7 Dorje Shugden a libation of tea, incense and mantras, in order to ask you to bless us, to be a part of our lives, to abide in our dwellings and to give us signs, omens and portents of both good and bad. When the negative arises, quell them immediately. Please increase the positive for my weary and worn mind as I lay my hopes in you.

When difficulties, problems and confusion arise, we ask you, who is but the culmination of all that is powerful, holy and omniscient to bless myself, family, loved ones, environment and even my pets. May I see wisdom, find hope, and be at peace.

I request you, O Divine Bhagavān8 Dorje Shugden, who wears a round dome hat and the three robes of a saffroned bhikshu9, who wields a sword of liberty, justice and wisdom and clutches a wish-fulfilling jewel, who rides on a supreme lion of subjugation of all that is negative, to fulfill my wishes. I understand my wishes may not be the best, so I surrender to your wisdom for the outcome though it may not be what I have in mind. Please bless myself and everyone that we may enter into the supreme city of liberation.

Great Bhagavān Dorje Shugden, I request you sincerely from my heart to be a part of my life, bless my home, and grant me wisdom, solace and comfort, that I might be of service to others without agenda, and that I may focus out onto others and not be fixated on myself, creating more problems for all that I hold dear.

Bless me to become kinder, wiser, more compassionate, tolerant and very forgiving to all those who hurt and love me. In order to become close to you, Dorje Shugden, we must surrender the banal. We must abandon fixed views, projections and rigidity. Lastly, in my final moment when I leave this plane of existence, only the positive actions I have done will matter as everything and everyone will be left behind. Let me realise this and act upon this now! At this crucial moment, please may I have a vision of yourself, the powerful and merciful Dorje Shugden, to take me to where I may course in the sky10 to continue my journey of spiritual waxing.

I offer you saffron-coloured tea and my faith to fulfill my prayers and gain siddhis11. By reciting your mantra, may healing, peace, love, long life, protection and perfect view of sunyata12 arise.

Mantra of fulfillment, peace and wisdom:
OM BENZA WIKI BITANA SOHA

(It is good to recite this mantra one rosary or more per day. Occasionally, engage in retreats where you recite the mantra 100,000 times or more per year, every year. Consistency brings results!)

I dedicate this supreme heartfelt prayer to the all-knowing Celestial and Supreme Protector Dorje Shugden, that I may quickly become a being of light, compassion, love and enlightenment.

OM BENZA WIKI BITANA SOHA
