The story of the RC of Batu Pahat began on the 24/10/1955 when a meeting was convened by KT Joseph, the headmaster of High School Batu Pahat at the then Bandar Penggaram Club. The purpose was to interest a group of business and professional men with the idea of organizing a Rotary Club in Batu Pahat. After a lengthy discussion it was unanimously resolved that a Rotary Club be formed in Batu Pahat
with the sponsorship of the Rotary Club of Johor Bahru. As of today,Rotary Club of Batu Pahat have more than 130 members engaged actively in community services. Before 1992, Rotary club of BATU PAHAT had initiated many community service projects such as Funded the Hospital Batu Pahat Intensive Care Unit , Dental care center and community amenities projects. Rotary Club of Batu Pahat embarked our its signature project, haemodialysis centre in 1992. On the 2nd of June 1993, the centre opened providing renal patients treatment at subsidized costs. Other than that,Rotary Club Of Batu Pahat also form Eyecare Centre to provide free treatment to eye diseases patients and provide free spectacle to needful students. RCBP has a strategic plan for membership development and club extension. Over the years, we have sponsored more than 10 interact clubs, two Rotaract clubs and 7 Rotary Clubs in Johor. RCBP has engaged in Projects based on the 7 areas of focus set by Rotary International. We embrace the Culture of Innovation that inspired us to be flexible, resilient and innovative in providing variety of services and assistance to the community in need. Rotary Club of Batu Pahat is committed to increase our impact, expand our reach and deliver values to fulfill our obligation to the community in need.
