PRESS STATEMENT
Thaipusam Task Force (TTF) 2026 – 12th Year of Service

The Thaipusam Task Force (TTF) 2026 marks its 12th consecutive year of service, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to supporting a sacred, safe, clean, orderly, and harmonious Thaipusam celebration.
Building on more than a decade of experience, as reflected in previous years’ press statements and initiatives shared on TTF’s official platforms, the Task Force will continue to focus on Awareness, Enforcement, and Cleanliness as its core missions. TTF works closely with temples, government agencies, local authorities, volunteers, and community partners to ensure a smooth and meaningful celebration.

Vision
To preserve the sanctity and spiritual significance of Thaipusam while fostering shared responsibility, discipline, and harmony within the community.

Mission
To coordinate and support efforts that promote religious awareness, uphold regulations for public safety and order, and maintain cleanliness before, during, and after Thaipusam, guided by a caring, people-centred approach.

Objectives
To raise awareness of the religious significance and proper observance of Thaipusam.
To support enforcement initiatives that ensure safety, crowd control, traffic management, and mutual respect.
To promote cleanliness and environmental responsibility throughout the Thaipusam period.
To provide responsive support and complaint channels for issues related to safety, cleanliness, and public order.
To strengthen collaboration among volunteers, temples, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
To reflect a caring government and responsible civic partnership in managing Thaipusam celebrations.

As TTF enters its 12th year, the Task Force calls upon all devotees and members of the public to observe Thaipusam with respect, discipline, and mindfulness, working together to uphold the dignity and sanctity of this important religious occasion.
Through unity, cooperation, and care, we continue our journey of service for a cleaner, safer, and more harmonious Thaipusam for all.
