IOI Foundation (198501007500 (139943-U)), formerly known as Yayasan Tan Sri Lee Shin Cheng, was established in 1985 under the patronage of the IOI Group. The Foundation serves as a platform for the Group to fulfil its Corporate Social Responsibility via educational, medical and community initiatives that enrich the lives of the needy.

Some moments are about setting records. Others are about helping people discover the confidence to stand up, speak and be heard. Over two inspiring days, this event was about both.
Together, IOI Foundation and MicFront Public Speaking welcomed over 1,000 participants to IOI Mall Damansara on 4 and 5 July 2026 for Malaysiaโ€™s Largest Public Speaking Event. United by the theme ๐‘ณ๐’†๐’•โ€™๐’” ๐‘ช๐’†๐’๐’†๐’ƒ๐’“๐’‚๐’•๐’† ๐‘ด๐’‚๐’๐’‚๐’š๐’”๐’Š๐’‚, children as young as five and adults alike took to the stage to share heartfelt stories about our culture, our people, and the pride we have in calling Malaysia home.
Beyond the excitement of attempting a new Malaysia Book of Records , what made the weekend truly unforgettable was the atmosphere in the mall. With a vibrant crowd of around 3,000 supporters cheering them on, seeing so many people find the courage to speak with confidence was incredibly moving. Every story shared was a reminder that when we encourage one another to find our voice, we also inspire others to do the same.

On 22nd June 2026, we traded corporate charts for community impact as 126 participants from Deloitte Malaysiaโ€™s Amplify Programme dropped by the IOI Foundationโ€™s Bargain Basement space.

Executive Director of IOI Foundation and Founder of Bargain Basement Datin Joanne Wong walked the group through how pre-loved items, from furniture and household essentials to books, toys, fashion and accessories, are given a second life. The group also gained insight into how social enterprises operate and
how every purchase helps generate funding for local charities and community initiatives.

It was great to exchange ideas on conscious consumption and sustainable living. Seeing so many curious minds eager to learn about the journey behind
donated items and impact they can create made the session all the more meaningful.

Thank you to the wonderful Deloitte team for spending part of their day with us. We hope the visit offered a fresh perspective on how small actions, when multiplied by many, can make a real difference.

In the spirit of celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri, a season of gratitude, and compassion, IOI Foundation hosted a fun day out with the children from Rumah Bakti Nur Ain.

The day began energetically at IOI Sports Centre, where the children were tried pickleball for the very first time. Guided by a certified pickleball instructor, Coach Hussin, the session turned from informative to lively and laughter-filled.

Following the session, everyone gathered for a well-deserved lunch at Pizza Hut, where they had a hearty pizza and drinks prepared fresh from the oven, while enjoying conversations with each of them.

The celebration concluded with a visit to IOI City Farm, where the children explored the mini zoo. From curious petting zoo interactions to wide-eyed excitement during educational displays, the experience offered both joy and learning.

More than just a day of activities, this was a reflection of what Hari Raya stands for: creating meaningful connections while sharing happiness and making long-lasting memories. Seeing the children step out of their comfort zones, try something new, and light up with genuine joy reminds us of the rewards from simple, thoughtful moments.

IOI Foundation was honored to stand as one of the sponsors for the IOI City Mall Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner 2026. This CSR initiative was more than just a celebrationโ€”it was a heartfelt embrace of community and togetherness.
We had the privilege of hosting residents and caretakers from Rumah Amal Murni Kajang, Rumah Orang Tua Seri Kembangan, and Persatuan Rumah Caring Kajang for a day filled with joy and new experiences.

The day kicked off with a visit to IOI City Farm, where the elderly guests enjoyed interacting with the vibrant flora and fauna. We then moved to Golden Screen Cinemas for a screening of Unexpected Familyโ€”a film that perfectly mirrored the warmth of the afternoon.

The evening culminated in the IOI Grand Hall for the official Reunion Dinner. Guests were treated to stunning Acrobatic Lion Dance performances and soulful Oriental Melodies & Gu Zheng music. Every residents and caretakers received Ang Pao packets, and the evening reached its peak as everyone gathered for the communal Prosperity Yee Sang tossingโ€”a symbol of unity and good fortune.

A mock cheque presentation ceremony was also held to symbolize the collective support extended to these homes, presented to representatives of all three organizations.

We extend our deepest gratitude to IOI City Mall for the kind invitation to be part of this meaningful evening. It was a privilege to contribute to a night that so beautifully reflected the true spirit of reunion, generosity, and humanity.
