⛳ Golf Success Story: Congratulations, Thivyan!

Not long ago, a golf course was the last place anyone would expect to find a boy from Sooria Hostel.
Through PERMA’s support for MyKITA, boys with an interest and potential in golf have been given access to lessons and training — opportunities that would otherwise been out of reach.
This past weekend, Thivyan competed in the Open Golf Tournament at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, Kota Damansara, competing alongside players from diverse backgrounds.
He carded a fantastic 82 and proudly took home the Novelty Prize for Nearest to the Pin! 🏆👏
For a boy who started with borrowed clubs and plenty of determination, this is more than a prize. It’s a reminder of what can happen when opportunity meets potential.
PERMA’s support goes beyond shelter and stability — it creates opportunities, builds confidence, and opens doors to new possibilities.
To everyone who supports PERMA, this is where your contribution can go: into lessons, confidence, skills and brighter possibilities for young people like Thivyan.

Congratulations, Thivyan.

Art Therapy for Praise Emmanuel Home
15.9.26

Mental health, especially for underserved communities, is often overlooked. That’s the gap PERMA has chosen to step into.
Thirteen boys from Praise Emmanuel Home in Section 6, Petaling Jaya took part in an art therapy session sponsored by PERMA and organised by Suara Minda. 🎨
With paint, brushes and clay pots, the boys were given a space to simply create, express themselves and enjoy something outside their daily routines. Pastor Isaac, who leads the home, shared that sometimes the greatest gift is simply being somewhere new. PERMA committee members Vick and Mangales also sponsored ice cream for the boys, adding a little extra joy to the afternoon. 🍦
This reflects what PERMA strives to do: support underserved communities with dignity, empathy and care — from providing opportunities like golf lessons, to supporting children's homes and mental health initiatives.
Praise Emmanuel Home has cared for abandoned, neglected and underprivileged children since 2004. One of its ongoing challenges is covering the rent needed to keep the home running.
👉 Support PERMA and help fund mental health and wellbeing initiatives that too often go unseen.
📣 Join PERMA’s upcoming 2026 Pickleball Fundraiser — have fun while contributing to worthy causes.
👉 You can also support Praise Emmanuel Children’s Home directly:

Two boys. One mat. A silver medal each.

Serankumar and Navanish Waran just brought home Runner-Up honours in Kabaddi at SUKMA XXII Selangor 2026, representing the state with everything they had.

What most people won't see in this photo is the road that got them here. Before the medals, before the training, before the state jersey, these were boys who needed somewhere safe to call home.

MyKITA gave them that home. PERMA recognised the dedication behind MyKITA and, for more than a decade, has been among those supporting its work, contributing towards the care and opportunities that helped two boys with potential become state-level athletes standing on a podium.

This is what your support helps make possible. Your contribution to PERMA helps us continue supporting MyKITA in giving boys like Serankumar and Navanish an environment to flourish and a real shot at a future they might never have had otherwise.

For every success story you see, there are more boys waiting for the same chance, boys with just as much heart and just as much hunger, who simply need someone to invest in them first.

Your donation doesn't just fund a program. It funds a boy's belief that he's worth investing in.

👉 Participate in PERMA’s upcoming 2026 Pickleball Fundraiser and help PERMA give more boys like Serankumar and Navanish the chance to write their own comeback story.

Congratulations, Serankumar and Navanish Waran. This medal belongs to everyone who believed in you first. 🔴🟡

Here’s a boy who used to practice his runs on whatever patch of grass he could find.
Cristiano Ronaldo posters on the wall. A jersey with the number 3 on it, waiting for its moment.
Mathan Raj Kartik's story isn't one that started with an easy hand. But through MyKITA, a home, a place of belonging, and a chance to simply be a boy with a ball and a dream, he found the stability and support to grow. What started as shelter became a foundation for so much more.
This September, he lined up for Mithraa FC in the 2026 MIFA Beyond National Tournament, representing Selangor B at Padang Polo, Pulau Penang. 🏆⚽
PERMA recognised MyKITA’s steadfast dedication and, for more than a decade, has supported its work, helping to give boys like Mathan Raj not just a roof over their heads, but a real chance at the life and future they deserve.
It's easy to look at the jersey and the tournament and think it was always going to happen. But somewhere between a home that welcomed him in and countless early mornings on the field, a lot of quiet, steady support made this possible.
Mathan Raj's story is one of many being written right now, by boys who didn't choose their circumstances, but are being given the chance to choose what comes next.
We're just happy to have seen him get his moment. 🔴🟡

Congratulations, Mathan Raj!

Small kindness.
Big difference.

Compassion knows no boundaries. Let's not forget the stray dogs and cats who deserve food, care and kindness too.

PERMA donated 20 bags of kibble worth RM1,460 to support Veeraya who selflessly feeds and cares for stray dogs along the Karak Highway on a daily basis . Your generosity helps keep this compassionate mission. Every bag helps ensure that hungry strays receive a meal while they await a better future through trap-neuter-release (TNR) efforts.

Together, small acts of kindness create a lasting impact for both the animals and the community.
