Committee who attended were Vimala, Sumithra, Dr Priya, and Visahini .
Lunch was sponsored for 45 children costing RM770. Thanks to the generosity of donors groceries worth approximately RM500 was also contributed. The donated items included cooking oil, wheat flour, curry powder, biscuits, soap, washing powder, noodle packets, and some chocolates.
The lunch was well prepared and thoroughly enjoyed by the children. Thanks to our generous donors for their contributions and participation.

Sri Lanka Flood Relief Fund- RM5000

PERMA has contributed RM5,000 to the Flood Relief Fund in support of flood victims in Sri Lanka. This contribution reflects PERMA’s commitment to humanitarian assistance and solidarity with communities affected by natural disasters. Through this donation, PERMA aims to help provide essential aid and relief to those impacted, supporting recovery efforts during this challenging time.

Suara Minda(SM) is a NGO that was founded & registered in 2020. SM is also a member of the Malaysian Mental Health Association & the Selangor Mental Health Association (SMHA) - these 2 organisations provide administrative support to SM. SM is peer run by persons who have been rehabilitated from their respective mental health conditions.
SM runs various workshops to rehabilitate persons with mental health.
A popular workshop is the making of pottery pots, mugs, vases, tiles etc as quote:-
"Working with clay improves coordination & focus while providing a calming, mindful, & healing experience for the mind & body.

PERMA has agreed to provide organic clay for their 6 months needs as this initiative aligns well wt PERMA’s focus on mental health. The monthly cost is RM 800 & for 6 months, the total cost for this project is RM 4,800.

Dr Lynette Moey; a doctor who does coaching, gave a talk entitled
"GOOD FINANCIAL HABITS TO START EARLY: FOR THE YOUNG ADULT"
to the VTOC girls followed by tea and snacks . The talk was interactive and included some group work and presentations. The girls found it stimulating and useful.

BINGO NITE
Our Bingo Night was nothing short of a wonderful success, bringing together fun, laughter, and a strong sense of community spirit. The room was alive with friendly competition, cheerful chatter, and the shared excitement of every “Bingo!” called. More than just a game, the evening created a space for meaningful fellowship, where familiar faces connected and new friendships were formed.
Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make the night memorable. We look forward to many more gatherings that strengthen our bond and continue to celebrate the spirit of togetherness.

National cancer society
Mammogram for 27 ladies was successfully carried out today at the National Cancer Society.
In view of deepavali around the corner the thoughtful addition of pre-loved and some new sarees in our PERMA bags added a nice touch. In total, 29 bags were distributed. Thanks to those who donated the new and pre loved sarees.
Lunch was provided to the ladies after the screening was completed.

Mentorship programme with VTOC 23/8/25
The orientation with our VTOC mentees was an overwhelming success. Thank you Priya for your outstanding effort in making our first session fun, interactive, and a successful ice breaker. The orientation was followed by a Zumba session with the girls. Both the girls and the committee members interacted well over the morning.
