In Malaysia, only licensed lawyers are allowed to prepare and charge people money to prepare legal documents under the Legal Profession Act.

We are also not allowed to share fees with non-licensed persons.

If y'all insist on using el cheapo agreement templates found online instead of actually hiring a lawyer, I'm happy to litigate corporate and commercial disputes later tho.

I'm upset that a conference I signed up for (as an attendee) listed me as a member of the organising committee without my knowledge or consent, especially since I decided not to attend due to personal reasons.

I've already emailed them my intention to withdraw and requested them to delete and remove my name from their website completely.

If they do not comply within a week I shall issue an official complaint with the relevant Malaysian authorities. Seriously unethical.

Whatever happens with global trade shipping routes, I just hope and pray ASEAN leaders see the wisdom in collective decision-making as a block when dealing with key global powers.

We do not want to become the next site for global powers' proxy wars over control of resources flow.

In the meantime, ASEAN citizens can only prepare the best that we could. Look out for each other, that's how we'll survive the upcoming uncertainties together.

"Lawyer Azira Aziz said that platform liability for AI s*xual harm remains largely untested in Malaysia. “There is yet to be a class action suit against social media platforms regarding the misuse of AI strictly in the context of gender-based violence,” she said.

“It remains to be seen whether the Attorney-General’s Chambers is willing to take it up against giants like X.” She added that AI s*xual deepfakes of adult women could fall under existing offences such as obscenity and insult to modesty."
