Casa Hoga Marie felt a calling in her heart from God.

Who we are:

We are a family who loves God, where boys and girls can find the warmth of a home and the emotional support they greatly need. We also have our own elementary school where our children from the Casa Hogar receive personalized attention. Our History:

Casa Hogar Lirio de los Valles was founded by John and Marie Sorrentino, a couple from the United States who had no biological offsprin

g of their own but loved children. That was what inspired and enabled her to receive eleven children from Tijuana’s Penitentiary in May of 1988. In time, other youngsters who lived in the street, in dumps, or were channeled to them from the DIF (Mexico’s Child Protective Services) joined the Casa Hogar. Since then our population had fluctuated from the intial 11 children to 110 at times. In 25 years hundreds of children have marched throughout the orphanage. Currently we house 60 children. Our Commitment:

To create an environment that will allow our children upon leaving us to become completely integrated into society and become quality human beings. To give them an experience that will allow them to continue to practice the principles they have learned and to contribute to the well-being of their communities. Our Social goal:

Assist children who are or have been abandoned without financial and moral support from their parents and family.

Quienes Somos:

Somos una familia que ama a Dios donde los niños encuentran el calor de un hogar y el apoyo emocional y espiritual que tanto necesitan. También contamos con nuestra propia Escuela Primaria en la cual se da atención únicamente a los pequeños de Casa Hogar. Historia:

Casa Hogar Lirio de los Valles fue fundada por John y Marie Sorrentino, una pareja estadounidense quienes no tuvieron hijos biológicos pero amaban a los niños. Fue el llamado de Dios en el corazón de Marie que hizo posible que en Mayo de 1988 se recibieran a 11 niños provenientes de la Penitenciaria de Tijuana. A través de los años llegaron otros menores que vivían en la calle, basureros o canalizados por DIF.Desde entonces nuestra población ha fluctuado en ocasiones hasta 110 niños. Actualmente estamos dando abrigo a 60 menores. Compromiso:

Que los niños que egresan de Casa Hogar salgan convertidos en personas de bien, con calidad humana, pero que al integrarse plenamente a la sociedad pongan en práctica los valores y principios que les fueron inculcados, y ellos a su vez contribuyan al bienestar de la Sociedad. Objetivo social:

Brindar asistencia a niños y jóvenes que se encuentran en estado de abandono o sin apoyo económico y moral de sus padres y familiares de los que dependen.

We are so thankful for all who answered the call a few weeks back for our new children that we received at Lily of the Valley. They were so blessed by the outpouring of love you showed to them. So many of you have asked if there are any other needs at the orphanage. Here are a few items that are needed:

Thank you for all who have sent clothes for the 4 and 5 year old girls. We now have plenty for that age group. If you would please take a look at the other sizes and can get some of the older kids sizes for sock and underwear we would greatly appreciate it. We are so grateful to everyone who has donated. We are humbly reaching out to our community for help as we have received 9 new children. Two of those children are girls ages 4 and 5 years of age. We are reaching out to ask if anyone would be willing to donate lightly used clothes with no stains for these girls. We are also in need of new underwear and socks for ages 4 through 15 years of age. If there is anything else that is like new to lightly used you would like to donate, we would gladly accept it.
