School increases dignity in the children by giving them a proper education in the "3 R's", while the Sisters instruct them in the important spiritual tenets of our Faith. Had the opportunity to visit the Casa's drop-off location for donations at Our Lady of Refuge Church, 4226 Jewell Street (corner of Jewell St. and Oliver Ave.), San Diego, 92109. Such a beautiful little church. Enter the parking lot off Oliver. In the building on the right, the left-most door is the Casa drop-off. The door should be open Sundays 8:00AM until 2:00PM and Mondays 8:30AM until 3:00PM. We can accept donations of:

- Canned, dried, and boxed food items (unexpired) – canned meat and tuna especially
- Beans, rice (in packages of 5 to 20 pounds and unexpired)
- Blankets, sleeping bags, bedding, new or gently used, clean and in good condition
- Sheets, towels, new or gently used, clean and in good condition
- NEW clothes for men, women and children with tags attached, socks, shoes (sorry, we cannot accept used clothing items)
- Over the counter medications and vitamins (Tylenol, cough medicine, children’s cold medicine, daily vitamins — unexpired)
- Toiletries for men and women
- NEW unused toys
- NEW School supplies

The Sisters and the people of the Casa thank you for your generosity. For those who have nothing, each of your donations, no matter how small, is a blessing.
