Today, on the last day of the year, we pause.

We look back and realize that what began as a simple idea has become a living network of voices, stories, and shared humanity.

Ten years ago, WorldWide Musicians United was born from a deep belief:
that music is not only sound, but connection.
That creativity can heal, accompany, and unite people beyond borders.

Over this decade, we’ve walked alongside artists, communities, and causes from many parts of the world.

Each project, each collaboration, each note has been part of a larger intention: to listen, to support, and to give meaning through music.

This reel is a small reflection of that journey.

A memory.
A thank you.
And a reminder of why we continue.

As we close this year and open a new chapter, we invite you to be part of what comes next.

If our work resonates with you, your support whether through a donation, a message, or simply sharing our mission, helps keep this movement alive.

Thank you for being there.
For listening.
For believing.

Daniel DeMento (Co-Founder of WWMU) interviews composer and sound therapist Moira Lo Bianco about her Sound Therapy Certification Program and her newest album, Meditative.

Moira is an Associate Professor at Berklee College of Music (Boston), serves on the Advisory Board of the Bioregulatory Medicine Institute, and is a member of the International Association for Music and Medicine (IAMM). She is also a trauma-informed practitioner and a founding member of WWMU’s Sound Therapy Program in the United States.

Throughout this year, we have worked together on music therapy and sound therapy programs, developing sensitive, innovative projects with a meaningful impact on health and well-being.

We are deeply grateful to continue building this path together and are pleased to confirm that we will keep collaborating next year, expanding these practices to new communities.

SAMA is a project that began a few years ago with the intention of offering support and accompaniment through sound to people in palliative care, and to those navigating the final stages of life, often in moments of deep vulnerability and solitude.
During its first year, the experience took place in homes, hospitals, and palliative care centers. Over time, we realized there was another urgent need: the emotional well-being of the people who care for others every day. Volunteers, nurses, doctors, and therapists were carrying a heavy emotional load, often under intense stress.
Last year, SAMA focused on offering this support free of charge to that caregiving community. The program is led by Alejo and María, and we are deeply proud to continue developing it in 2026 with the support of everyone who believes in this work.
If this resonates with you, we invite you to support SAMA through a donation, so we can continue bringing care, presence, and sound where it is most needed.

This video is a commemorative excerpt from 2016, our very first campaign at WWMU , the moment when everything began.
It is an edited piece from that original campaign, shared today as a memory and as a celebration of 10 years of work, collaboration, and purpose.
The music was produced across continents: part in South Korea, part in the United States, with musicians from Argentina, England, the U.S., Kenya, and Uganda. A truly global collaboration that marked our launch and our commitment to working together beyond borders.
We share this video as a tribute to our beginnings, and to everything that has grown from that first step.

This video is a memory from 2022, from the campaign we carried out to purchase the land and build, from the ground up, what is today the Sunnyside School in Jinja, Uganda.
These images belong to that early moment — when the project was still a dream, when we raised the funds, secured the land, and began construction. It was a journey born from hope, solidarity, and collective commitment, led by Daniel DeMento.
Today, Sunnyside School is a living reality — a place of education, care, and future. Returning to that first step, to that founding moment, remains deeply bright and beautiful.
We share this video as a memory, as a thank you, and as a testament to what was built together and what continues to grow.

Segundo Mundo | 2022 Memory

In 2022, WWMU (WorldWide Musicians United) supported the tour of Segundo Mundo, an Argentine band rooted in Balkan, Gypsy, and Eastern European folk music.
This support was part of WWMU’s programs focused on empowering artists with a strong identity, strengthening the music community, and contributing to the preservation and circulation of traditional music.
The video we are sharing also helped finance the project, and its editing and final audio mix were completed by WWMU’s team in 2022.
A meaningful memory of a shared journey, where music once again became a cultural bridge.

At the end of 2020, during a strange and transitional moment at the close of the pandemic year, WWMU hosted a special live streaming event that brought together musicians from around the world.

This post features two pieces by Canadian cellist Margaret María, with compositions and arrangements by the artist, performed by a string ensemble of Argentine and Venezuelan musicians, recorded in Buenos Aires and finalized through a collaborative production process.

This video presents the result of that work.

Raw and Live — Authentic Music from East Africa is a collaborative live streaming event that gathers some of the region’s most promising, emerging musical talents. From losing it all due to civil wars and strife, to surviving in refugee camps, to finally becoming professional musicians, each of these artists is a unique example of individual resilience as well as the broader struggle to protect and preserve African heritage, legacy, and endangered folk traditions. A great example for the rest of us—and a significant contribution to the World Heritage—*Raw and Live* is the first in a streaming concert and interview series showcasing the next generation of cultural leaders from East Africa.

When the world stopped, music didn’t.
In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, WWMU brought together musicians from every continent in one global live stream.

🎶 Voices, rhythms, and cultures connected at a time when no one could meet — yet everyone could feel each other.

That worldwide broadcast became more than a concert:
it was unity, resilience, and creative strength in one of our hardest moments.

🌎✨ Tres Mundos: Music that Connects Hearts 🎶

While Tres Mundos joined us a bit later, Pancho Díaz has been a close partner from the beginning, collaborating on projects with indigenous communities and sharing his music with us. The trio, formed in 2019 and consisting of Pancho Díaz (Andean wind instruments, percussion, and vocals), Leo Silcan (charangos and vocals), and Juan Gau (guitars and vocals), enchants us with their folkloric music repertoire, inspired by the Andean traditions of Latin America, especially from northern Argentina.

Together with Pancho, we’ve worked on beautiful initiatives that transform lives through music.

Today, our brothers for life offer us their support, and we couldn’t be more grateful. 🙌❤️
