A Christ-centered ministry for orphans and vulnerable children in Mexico through full-time, family-style children's homes.

Our four pillars of ministry are Christian discipleship, family, education and nutrition. Our Mexico Ministry works with the social services department in Tapachula by bringing vulnerable children into our homes in order to raise them in a loving, safe Christian home environment. Our family-style residential program at Mission On The Move provides all the child’s physical and spiritual needs. From

uniforms, homework help, food, shelter, healthcare and tutoring; the staff and short-term mission teams focus their attention on the children's holistic needs. Most importantly, we teach them about Jesus Christ and disciple them in a Christian family-centered home. As our children complete high school, we encourage those with good grades and the right motivation to attend the local university. At times, we also foster children through the formative years of their childhood and youth, caring for them as our own. Within these homes, we are often the only family these children know.

Mission on the Move’s Board Retreat this weekend at Epworth by the Sea was an atmosphere of deep love and commitment for the orphaned and vulnerable children and the dedicated staff and missionaries of the ministry, as well as you, our faithful Ministry Partners.

We spent time seeking God’s will and direction, looking at our current work in progress, the wellbeing of the children and staff and missionaries and discerning what the Lord has planned for the children we serve for the next 5 years.

It was a time of discussion, questions, self-analysis and even fun and laughter. MOM’s Board is a blessing to be a part of and a body of Christ working in unity for His purposes.

Devotional time is always so special with our teams. Last week the children experienced an interactive storytelling of the Prodigal Son, followed by a fun sticker activity to reinforce it.

Our smallest child also played the role in the devotional about the crippled man whose friends lowered him through the roof to be healed by Jesus. They did an awesome job on their skit!

The creativity presenting the word of God is a great way to help them internalize it and remember it. Thank you to Antioch and to all of our teams who bring the word to life for the children!

Antioch made spaghetti, salad and garlic bread with ice cream and cookies for dessert for about 45 people. It was delicious!

What mission trip to Tapachula would be complete without churros?! We had to get Antioch their “initiation” churro run for their first MOM mission trip! 🤣 Our churro friend did not disappoint.
