Hola supporters of the Pet Friendly Family and the Familias Responsables en Bahías!
Palmas Unidas held our 68th Sterilization Campaign at the Unidad Deportiva - Crucecita Sports Fields on Sunday 5 of April 🐣.
A TOTAL OF 122 SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES WERE PERFORMED ......saving the lives of thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens that would have been abandoned, sick or starving. 1 of the animals sterilized at the campaign was a familiar friendly street dog who frequents La Crucecita restaurants. He came to the clinic to say hello and was luckily intercepted to be sterilized and may even have found a family to take him home that day 🐶 ☺️.
An immense THANK YOU to the Green Family from B.C. who continue to fundraise all year and sponsor spay and neuter clinics around Mexico. This type of dedication is life changing for so many animals and inspiring to people who hear about their mission to end animal suffering. At least 100 of the animals sterilized were due to their donation. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
Thank you to our Gold, Silver and Bronze supporters (Deborah 🤍 & John, Lynn and Dennis, Les & Hilary & Sabrina, Amelia). Thank you for recent donations we have received from our volunteer Kim and Marina Park Plaza. Thank you to our local business sponsors (Misión de Los Arcos, Casa Reyes and Hotel Delphinus). Thank you to Huatulco Gobierno Municipal for your support with the location for our campaign.
Thank you to the profesional and energetic MVZ team from Oaxaca City, veterinarians Paul and Ulises and their technicians Jonaira and Brisa.
In addition, thank you to our local vet Dr. Emiliano, Caro, and Mia from Veterinaria Calivet for spaying and neutering street dogs and cats with us.
Thank you to Marlene and Roberto for getting this clinic organized and putting together the volunteer schedule 👏💪🥇
Thank you to all of the volunteers (Marlene, Roberto, Jeff, Gina, Rick, Colleen, Ian, Shelley, Cynthia, Amanda, Elise, Kim, Meli, Jen, Dave, Nancy, Kristina) that give their time to care for and monitor the cats and dogs after surgery. These volunteers do a wonderful job engaging the families and providing pet care education. Thank you to the volunteers that came early to set up and those that stayed late to clean up. 🥰
Thank you Kimberly for taking incredible photos that captured this incredible day.
A big thank you to Roberto!! Roberto spends many hours ahead of the weekend to take care of all the details, selects the location, advertises, arranges for tables, chairs, shade tents, brings all of the campaign supplies and makes sure everyone has what they need. ❤️👏🏼🐾
CONGRATULATIONS to all of the responsible families for bringing your pets to be sterilized at the campaign in Crucecita !!!🐕🐈 👏🏼
As you can see, it takes a lot of people committed to the animals to make these campaigns happen. Every volunteer, business and donation adds a value to the success of a sterilization campaign. We could not do these campaigns without the contributions provided to us both through donations and/or time.
From all of the animals whose lives have been improved this past weekend through your love and support....woof, meow and THANK YOU!!!
