There is so much beauty in seeing a journey come full circle! On Wednesday, March 11th, we celebrated a new presence in the halls of the Elementary Building—a giving back gift of gratitude to the school from two former students who once shared our classrooms and now share our future. A flying high eagle representation in an art piece now hangs quietly in our walls turning into our fourth icon of the school.

Our special appreciation goes to Eugenio Elizondo Treviño ‘75 and Rodrigo Elizondo Treviño ‘77, whose generosity went beyond their enduring bond with the ASFM community.

With gratitude, once again ASFM ‘flies high’!

Continuing our commitment to connecting students with inspiring , we welcomed María de Alva Levy, ASFM Class of 1986 and author of Todo lo que No Sabemos and Un Corazón Extraviado, for a master class with our High School students.

She explored the enduring power of literature, from how Cervantes and Shakespeare shaped language and literary form, to why the modern novel reveals the unknown dimensions of human existence. She reminded us that a classic is a book that never stops speaking to its readers.

María also shared her personal journey as a writer, encouraging students to discover their voice by connecting what they read with their own experiences and daring to merge dreams with reality.

At ASFM, learning goes beyond the classroom. By engaging with alumni who are shaping culture and literature, our students gain perspective, inspiration, and a deeper sense of purpose. We rise together, honoring a heritage that continues to inspire future generations.

Thank you, María, for empowering our community.

We would love to have you back in school helping younger Eagles find their passion!

Sofía Segovia, acclaimed author and ASFM alumna from the Class of 1982, writer of El Murmullo de las Abejas, was welcomed by our High School Eagles. She shared her journey as a writer, the inspiration behind her novels, and the challenges she faced as a female author from Monterrey.

Her message encouraged students to find their voice through reading and writing, and to pursue their passions with perseverance and integrity.
Experiences like this reflect the strength of our ASFM community and the opportunities we create by connecting students with alumni who are shaping culture, literature, and the world. We are proud to rise together and celebrate the legacy that continues to inspire future generations.

Thank you for coming back to ASFM and making our students learn from you.

50 years ago, the ASFM Class of 1975 walked the halls of Missouri, but their story here didn't end🦅

This weekend, we celebrated 50 years since their graduation, a milestone honoring their deep connection to ASFM and our community! Our campus may evolve, but the heart of our legacy remains timeless.

Once an Eagle, always an Eagle! 🦅❤️
