This year, Marveli’s Adolescentes del Oeste teens ministry is tackling the essential truths of the Christian faith ✝️

Questions like “who is God”, “what does it mean to be Christian”, “what is the Bible and who wrote it”, etc. are being discussed and explained in a way that these kids and teens can understand why we believe what we do, what it means to follow Christ and make that decision, and how it is the most important decision of their life

We aim to teach the truth, love these kids, and guide them in their journey!

Este año, el ministerio de Adolescentes del Oeste de Marveli está abordando las verdades esenciales de la fe cristiana ✝️

Preguntas como “quién es Dios”, “qué significa ser cristiano”, “qué es la Biblia y quién la escribió”, etc. se están discutiendo y explicando de una manera que estos niños y adolescentes puedan entender por qué creemos en lo que creemos, qué significa seguir a Cristo y tomar esa decisión, y cómo es la decisión más importante de su vida

This week we want to share with you the stories of two missionary families…
Ramon and Alida Medina, and Juan and Ingrid Guerrero are both Latin families that moved to Spain for a better life. While in Spain, they joined Seminario del Oeste. After around a decade living in Spain, raising their families there, creating a community, God called them both to move back to their countries to start a church.

Ramon and Alida went back to Paraguay, and Juan and Ingrid went back to the Dominican Republic. Both families went with the support of Iglesias del Oeste and serve as part of our overall ministries. This is what we exist to do: train and equip the kingdom’s leaders to go out and follow their God-given mission, whether that’s at home, another country, or going back home. And we will care for and support them through every step!

Esta semana queremos compartir con ustedes las historias de dos familias misioneras...
Ramón y Alida Medina, y Juan e Ingrid Guerrero son familias latinas que se mudaron a España para una vida mejor. Mientras estaban en España, se unieron a Seminario del Oeste. Después de alrededor de una década viviendo en España, criando a sus familias allí, creando una comunidad, Dios los llamó a ambos a regresar a sus países para abrir una iglesia.

Ramón y Alida regresaron a Paraguay, y Juan e Ingrid regresaron a la República Dominicana. Ambas familias fueron con el apoyo de Iglesias del Oeste y sirven como parte de nuestros ministerios. Esto es para lo que existimos: entrenar y capacitar a los líderes del reino para que salgan y sigan su misión dada por Dios, ya sea en casa, en otro país, o volviendo a casa. ¡Y los cuidaremos y apoyaremos en cada paso!

Last week, pastors Hector and Lorena celebrated the fifth anniversary of their church, Raices (Roots)! Hector and Lorena started Seminario del Oeste with us 7 years ago and through their final projects they made a plan to plant a church. And five years later they are celebrating a strong and fruitful mission!

The goal of Seminario del Oeste is not only to train church leaders and pastors, but also to create the space for students to seek their hearts, listen to God, and see where he wants to take them. And that is exactly what this family is an example of and we are very proud to support missions like these!

La semana pasada, los pastores Héctor y Lorena celebraron el quinto aniversario de su iglesia, Raices! Héctor y Lorena empezaron con Seminario del Oeste con nosotros hace 7 años y a través de sus proyectos finales hicieron un plan para plantar una iglesia. ¡Y cinco años después están celebrando una misión fuerte y fructífera!

El objetivo del Seminario del Oeste no es solo capacitar a líderes y pastores de la iglesia, sino también crear el espacio para que los estudiantes busquen sus corazones, escuchen a Dios y vean a dónde Él quiere llevarlos. ¡Y eso es exactamente de lo que esta familia es un ejemplo y estamos muy orgullosos de apoyar misiones como la suya!

We want to encourage everyone to participate in missions in some capacity whether it’s in your own community or country, or somewhere entirely different. Seeing the global church outside of your context can open your eyes to the world and strengthen your relationship with God. We want our seminary students to not only see but experience what the church looks like from a different perspective. Mission trips are to serve through learning… join us!

This month the second year students of EBFI (a branch of Seminario del Oeste) did a missions trip to the Sierra Mazateca of Oaxaca; Gerardo, Kimberly and María Elvira had the experience of being part of the trips that Iglesias del Oeste regularly makes, on this occasion, with the leadership of Pastor Ben Culp. A blessing to be able to serve the church of Christ!

Este mes los estudiantes de segundo año de EBFI (una rama de Seminario del Oeste) hicieron un viaje misionero a la Sierra Mazateca de Oaxaca; Gerardo, Kimberly y María Elvira tuvieron la experiencia de ser parte de los viajes que Iglesias del Oeste hace regularmente, en esta ocasión, con el liderazgo del Pastor Ben Culp. ¡Una bendición poder servir a la iglesia de Cristo!

Animamos a todos a participar en misiones de alguna manera, ya sea en su propia comunidad o país, o en algún lugar completamente diferente. Ver a la iglesia global fuera de tu contexto puede abrirte los ojos al mundo y fortalecer tu relación con Dios. Queremos que nuestros estudiantes del seminario no solo vean, sino que experimenten cómo es la iglesia desde una perspectiva diferente. Los viajes misioneros son para servir a través del aprendizaje... ¡únete a nosotros!
