Este verano, niños y adultos han participado en nuestro Taller de Costura y Bordado en el Centro Comunitario, aprendiendo nuevas habilidades mientras dejan volar su creatividad. Durante estas semanas han aprendido a elaborar bolsas, scrunchies, moños y piezas bordadas para la cocina, descubriendo todo lo que pueden crear con sus propias manos.

Nuestro agradecimiento especial a Lupita Olivas, quien generosamente ha donado su tiempo, talento y conocimientos para impartir este taller. Nos llena de alegría que personas de nuestra propia comunidad se involucren y compartan lo que saben con los demás, porque así es como queremos seguir construyendo este espacio: una comunidad que aprende, enseña, comparte y crece junta. 🧵✨

This summer, children and adults have been participating in our Sewing and Embroidery Workshop at the Community Center, learning new skills while letting their creativity shine. Over the past few weeks, participants have learned to make bags, scrunchies, bows, and embroidered kitchen pieces, discovering all the wonderful things they can create with their own hands.

A very special thank you to Lupita Olivas, who has generously donated her time, talent, and knowledge to teach this workshop. It makes us especially happy to see members of our own community getting involved and sharing their skills with others, because this is exactly the kind of space we want to continue building: a community that learns, teaches, shares, and grows together. 🧵✨

Summer at our Community Center | Verano en nuestro Centro Comunitario 💛

This summer, our Community Center has been filled with creativity, learning, and lots of fun! ☀️

We’ve enjoyed painting, shadow theater, and sewing workshops, as well as academic tutoring to help students strengthen what they learned during the school year. 🎨🧵🎭📚

We’re so happy to be a space where our community, especially children, can feel a sense of belonging while they learn, grow, create, and have fun. 🫶✨

Así vivimos la primera semana de nuestro Campamento de Verano para los alumnos del Programa de Música☀️

Ha sido una semana llena de aprendizaje, creatividad y, sobre todo, ¡muchísima diversión! Nuestros chicos participaron en un rally, exploraron la armonía con su propia voz, enfrentaron retos de improvisación donde crearon historias y las llevaron al escenario, además de disfrutar juegos y dinámicas que fortalecen el trabajo en equipo, la amistad y la confianza.

Cada sonrisa, cada carcajada y cada momento compartido nos recuerdan por qué vale la pena hacer esto. ❤️
