⚽ While much of Mexico was watching the World Cup, something incredible was happening in Las Juntas y Los Veranos.

Despite the game, community members stayed for more than THREE hours to learn CPR and basic first aid. Seeing so many people eager to gain life-saving skills reminds us why community education matters.

Knowledge saves lives. Empowered communities are stronger communities.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and to the volunteers Arnoldo, Jorge, Michel and Teresa who made this training possible.

Today is heartbreaking.

Since this morning, multiple Civil Protection units and firefighters have been working tirelessly to contain a large fire at the dump. Vallarta Cares is on the ground helping however we can, bringing support to those responding to the emergency.

But this fire is affecting more than garbage.
For some families, the dump is their livelihood. Some people survive by sorting recyclables and materials to earn enough to eat day by day. Their homes are there. Their belongings are there. And today, many of those homes are burning.

Once the fire is under control, these families will need help rebuilding their lives from nothing. The firefighters and emergency crews will also need hydration, food, and support to endure the long hours and dangerous conditions they are facing.

We know we are always asking for help, and it is never easy to do so. But today, we are begging our community: if you can spare anything at all, please donate.

Every peso can help us bring relief, food, water, emergency supplies, and hope to the families affected by this tragedy.

Please stand with us and these families today.

Let’s talk about donations with love and honesty. 💛

First, we want to say thank you. Vallarta Cares exists because of the generosity of our community. Every meal served, every family supported, every person given a moment of dignity happens because people choose to give.

We survive entirely through donations — both monetary and in-kind — and we are deeply grateful for every person who thinks of us when they have something to share.

At the same time, we need to be honest about a growing challenge.

Because of limited funding, staffing, and transportation capacity, we are no longer able to pick up donations. We kindly ask that all donations be brought directly to us.

We also ask our community to please donate with intention.

Before donating items, please ask yourself:

Would I use this?
Is it clean?
Is it in good condition?
Is it broken, stained, damaged, or missing parts?
Does it help someone feel cared for and respected?

Our mission is not only to provide food, clothing, hygiene, and support, it is to help restore dignity to people facing difficult circumstances. Vallarta Cares works with individuals and families experiencing poverty, food insecurity, health challenges, homelessness, and crisis situations.

Unfortunately, we often receive items that are dirty, broken, heavily stained, unusable, or unsafe. Some items require hours of sorting, cleaning, and disposal — time and resources that could otherwise go directly toward helping the people we serve.

We say this with love: we cannot serve our community with items that should be thrown away.

Your donations should be a gift of dignity, not a burden for our small team.

If you have clean clothing, shoes, linens, hygiene items, household goods, or other useful items in good condition, we welcome them with gratitude. These donations truly make a difference in the lives of the people we support through our food, health, disaster relief, education, and dignity programs.

Our drop off locations are:

𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗿 — Aldanaca 176, Versalles
𝗟𝗼𝘀 𝗠𝘂𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 — Av México 1254, 5 de Diciembre

Thank you for understanding. Thank you for caring. Thank you for helping us serve with compassion, respect, and dignity.

With gratitude,
Vallarta Cares 💛

At Vallarta Cares, we believe transparency matters.
If you’ve ever wondered whether your support truly makes a difference, we invite you to come see for yourself. Meet the people. Visit our programs. Witness the work happening in our soup kitchen, our outreach efforts, and the rural communities where help is often hardest to reach.
What we do is rooted in love, integrity, and the belief that people deserve more than temporary relief—they deserve tools, opportunities, and support to help raise themselves out of poverty with dignity.
We also believe change happens faster when we work together. That’s why we proudly collaborate with other charities, organizations, and community groups. We don’t believe in competition when human lives are involved—we believe in cooperation, because together we can create greater impact and change more lives.
The truth is simple: the only way we change the world is together. ❤️
Come get involved. Volunteer. Partner with us. Become part of the change.

Yesterday was an amazing day! Two associations Vallarta Cares and Bazar Impulso de Águila as well as two incredible good will people came together to bring joy to children and support a town that needed a little extra love. Toys, diapers, food, and more made their way to brighten the day. Together, we made a difference, and the smiles were worth every effort!

Please help us continue bringing happiness, food and dignity to rural communities, you can do so by becoming a monthly donor here: https://vallartacares.org/donation

We’ve been a little quiet on social media lately… and for a very good reason. 💙

Behind the scenes, our team has been incredibly busy organizing our building, improving our spaces, and working hard on projects that will help us serve our community even better. We’ll do our best to post more often again soon—but for now, we wanted to invite you to something very special!

📍 Tomorrow at 10:00 AM come visit us at the Sustainability Fair at the American School and stop by to say hello!

And most importantly… come see our Mobile Clinic! 🚐🩺🦷

This clinic is the result of more than a year of dreaming, planning, problem-solving, and hard work. It was built with one clear purpose: to bring medical and dental care directly to rural communities—to the places where families may have no nearby doctor, where transportation is difficult, and where poverty creates barriers to even the most basic healthcare.

Bringing healthcare into these remote communities is not easy. The logistics are huge, the work is demanding, and every trip requires an enormous amount of coordination…

But the impact? Life-changing.

For someone who would otherwise go without medical care, this clinic can mean relief, prevention, dignity, and hope.

We are incredibly proud of what this represents, and we would love for you to come see it in person, ask questions, and celebrate this milestone with us.

See you tomorrow! 💙

At Vallarta Cares, we believe that a warm meal is just the beginning. That's why we're proud to offer free medical consultations and nutrition guidance to every person who walks through our doors.

🩺 Medical care — Our volunteer doctor is here to listen, evaluate, and provide real health support to community members who otherwise go without.

🥦 Nutrition counseling — Our nutriologistS works with guests to help them make healthier choices, even with limited resources.

These services are completely free for the families and individuals because everyone deserves dignity, nourishment, and care.

💛 Can you help us keep this going? Your donation — no matter the size — helps us cover medical supplies, nutritional resources, and the cost of each meal we serve. Together, we can make a real difference right here in Puerto Vallarta.
