En Riviera Maya Sostenible estamos trabajando para cambiar esta realidad. Nuestra directora, Beatriz Barreal, participó en una importante mesa de trabajo sobre política tributaria en la Cámara de Diputados, por invitación de la diputada Marybel Villegas Canché.

Nuestra propuesta es clara: necesitamos incentivos fiscales específicos para el turismo de base comunitaria. Organizaciones ejemplares como Community Tours Sian Ka'an reinvierten constantemente en impacto social, ciencia, y regeneración de los ecosistemas.

Solicitamos la creación de tasas preferenciales y la deducibilidad al 100% de los gastos dirigidos a la regeneración ambiental y educación de los visitantes y locales. Solo a través de una justicia fiscal podremos garantizar la sostenibilidad a largo plazo y la autodeterminación de las comunidades guardianes de nuestro patrimonio biocultural de seguir siendo esos guardianes inigualables

✨🌍 ¿Te atreverías a sostener el peso del mundo entero en tus manos?

Nuestra CEO y Fundadora, Beatriz Barreal, acaba de vivir un momento verdaderamente transformador en Barranquilla. ✨ Como invitada internacional, impartió una inspiradora masterclass que formó parte del gran cierre del "Diplomado Élite en Gestión Integral de un Turismo Sostenible" de Universidad Ean. 🎓

Fue un honor inmenso compartir la visión de con líderes locales que ya están transformando su entorno todos los días. El objetivo de esta sesión no fue enseñarles a empezar de cero, sino ayudarles a descubrir y poner en valor las increíbles acciones que muchos de ellos ya lideraban de forma natural. 🙌

Para conectar con los corazones de todos los presentes, Beatriz realizó un ejercicio profundamente conmovedor: puso en sus manos una esfera de cristal. Al sostenerla, cada persona comprendió la responsabilidad tangible que tenemos de proteger nuestro planeta. ¡Cuidar el mundo es un acto de amor que pasamos de generación en generación! 🌍🤝

Bien para regenerar: dejar una huella 👣, sí. Pero una positiva. ¡Una que en cien años siga siendo una huella de amor 🧡 por la vida! Una huella por haber visto y escuchado a aquellos que no tienen voz: el territorio, la cultura, el patrimonio, la flora, la fauna y los héroes locales. Entre todos ellos están las historias que el mundo 🌎 necesita escuchar para CONECTAR.

Recently, at Riviera Maya Sostenible, we had the honor of facilitating the strategic visit of Anna Po***ck , a global reference in Regenerative Hospitality. Our objective was clear: to show her that the future of tourism is already taking shape here, driven by community-based governance.

From Riviera Maya Sostenible, we designed this experience to connect a global vision with the local mastery of those who have spent decades caring for the bio-cultural heritage of the Yucatán Peninsula:

Much more than a tour operator, they are a Maya cooperative with over 20 years of experience working within the Biosphere Reserve. Anna experienced firsthand how they have transformed tourism into a tool for conservation and pride in the living Maya culture—educating today’s future guardians of the jungle. 🐆🍃

A community that stands as a powerful example of resilience, with more than 50 years of history. Anna witnessed their extraordinary journey of adaptation: from fishing and salt & coconut production, through post-hurricane recovery, to becoming pioneers today in Blue Carbon markets and large-scale mangrove restoration. 🥥🌊

At RMS, we put both heart and strategy into making this visit possible. Because for us, “Sustainability is Love,” and there is no greater act of love than recognizing and connecting those who are actively regenerating life.

¡Con el corazón lleno de gratitud y orgullo cerramos nuestra participación en Qatar Travel Mart 2025! 🌍✨

Este viaje ha sido una reafirmación de que el turismo, cuando nace del amor por lo que somos, es una fuerza imparable. Nos vamos celebrando un hito histórico: Community Tours Sian Ka'an ha recibido el 1er Lugar en los GreenDestinations Story Awards (Categoría People & Culture) con el proyecto "El Latido de la Comunidad". 🏆❤️

Ha sido un honor inmenso para Riviera Maya Sostenible acompañar este proceso, ayudando a poner en valor la historia de una empresa ejemplar y revalorizando a sus protagonistas como verdaderos guardianes de nuestro patrimonio.

El Futuro es BASE COMUNITARIA y REGENERATIVO 🌿Nuestra CEO, Beatriz Barreal, Impulsa el Turismo de Base Comunitaria (TBCMx) en el Senado

Hoy asistimos a un encuentro clave: el Foro de Turismo Comunitario en el Senado de la República, convocado por el Senador Eugenio Segura Vázquez.

Beatriz Barreal, de Riviera Maya Sostenible, tuvo el honor de co-crear y entregar el documento clave "Esbozo de Lineamientos para la Ley de Turismo Base Comunitaria en México (TBCMx)", junto con Roman Caamal, Director General de Community Tours Sian Ka'an y Presidente de la Alianza Peninsular para el Turismo Comunitario.

Nuestro mensaje central fue claro y contundente:
- Turismo Base Comunitario (TBCMx), NO "Turismo Comunitario": La comunidad es la BASE y el protagonista de la operación. Nuestro modelo defiende la Cultura Viva y evita la comercialización y el "show" de las tradiciones locales.
- REGENERACIÓN como Estándar: La nueva ley no solo debe ser sostenible, sino que debe impulsar un modelo REGENERATIVO que mejore activamente las condiciones sociales y ambientales, y respete la Autodeterminación de los pueblos.
- Inversión en Calidad: Es fundamental que la legislación contemple la inversión en capacitación, calidad, hospitalidad, e infraestructura (gestión agua, residuos, conectividad, accesibilidad) para garantizar servicios de primer nivel que cumplan con los estándares del Distintivo de Prestadores de Servicios Turísticos Comunitarios (DPSTC) promovido por y que puedan ser visibilizados en los segmentos de mercado genuinamente interesados en EXPERIENCIAS AUTÉNTICAS
- Complementariedad: Reforzamos que el turismo debe ser siempre una actividad COMPLEMENTARIA a la economía base de las comunidades, nunca una imposición, para agregar vida y espacios de enriquecimiento a los usos y costumbres, arraigo a la tierra y permanencia cultural.

Agradecemos al Senador Eugenio Segura por impulsar este diálogo crucial para México. Seguimos trabajando para que el TBCMx sea el camino hacia un desarrollo justo, auténtico y próspero para Quintana Roo y todo el país.
