Today, we kicked off the Basic Sewing Workshop in La Lobera, Peras, and the participants were excited to learn! 🌟

They discovered how easy it is to sew using a machine and learned about the basic functions, accessories, and different fabrics. They practiced basic stitches to make:

Jacket repairs 🧥

🧵 Third Session: Basic Sewing Workshop 🧵

The Third Session of our Basic Sewing Workshop showed incredible progress! 🌟

Not only did we reinforce basic stitches and fabric cutting, but some participants even took the lead in teaching new members! One participant went above and beyond, making a beautiful handbag with her newfound skills. 👜

This achievement has boosted everyone’s confidence, proving that with practice, they can create anything on the sewing machine! 💪✨

✂️ Basic Haircutting Course: Empowering Mothers ✂️

In response to requests from the mothers in our community, we held a Basic Haircutting Course to help them learn new skills and improve their families’ quality of life. 💇‍♀️

The course focused on practical cuts that support the local economy, especially since there are no hair salons nearby. Participants learned:

Men’s cuts & short crew cuts for boys 👦
Trimming for women & girls 💇‍♀️
Layered cuts & butterfly effects for women 🦋
Casual braids & sectioned hairstyles for events 💁‍♀️

These new skills are helping families save time and money, all while boosting confidence! 🎉

🧵 Second Session: Basic Sewing Workshop 🧵

The Second Session of our Basic Sewing Workshop was a hit! 🌟
Mothers continued to perfect their sewing skills, learning new stitches and techniques. They made:

Pillowcases 🛏️
Shampoo & oil bottle covers 🧴
Eyeglass cases 👓
Pen cases with clasps ✨

Teenagers also learned how to make a pen and attach a clasp. At the end, everyone proudly posed with the items they created. 🪡

These workshops are helping them improve their skills, expand their knowledge, and create functional accessories! 🎉

We're excited to share that the THIRD Baking Course by ICAPET (Unit 085 Oaxaca) has successfully concluded! 🎉

This program helped local mothers learn new baking skills, boosting their knowledge and quality of life. The participants mastered a variety of treats, including:

🌟 Project 2: Unlocking Creativity & Skills 🌟

This summer, we had the pleasure of organizing a fun and educational activity for the kids in our community! 🎉

Through board games, the children not only had a blast but also developed important motor skills while learning in a playful, creative way. 🧩🎲

We believe that introducing kids to creative expression through recreational and skill-building activities helps them grow in more ways than one. 💡✨

🧵✨ Seventh Session of the Basic Sewing Course – Closing Our Workshop! 👗🎉

The goal of this program is to help mothers learn the fundamentals of sewing, enabling them to expand their knowledge and improve their quality of life. ❤️

In this final session, participants learned how to insert zippers and reinforced their understanding of taking measurements for garment making. Through dedication and practice, they have now gained the skills needed to perform intermediate-level sewing and basic garment construction. 👏🪡

To celebrate their progress, we concluded the course by making a denim skirt, a project that allowed everyone to showcase their creativity and newfound confidence. 👖💙

We’re proud of every participant for their hard work and commitment throughout this journey! 🌟

🍰✨ Pastry Course II – Continuing to Learn and Grow! ✨🥧

The Oaxaca State Institute for Training and Productivity (ICAPET), through Unit 085 Oaxaca, proudly held the Second Pastry Course. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

The goal of this initiative is to empower mothers by helping them learn new skills, expand their knowledge, and improve their quality of life. ❤️

During this second phase, participants learned how to prepare and beautifully decorate a variety of delicious treats, including chocolate cake, tres leches cake, corn muffins, cheesecake, fruit tartlets, apple pie, cheese pie, pizza, sweet and savory snacks, encapsulated gelatin, and donuts. 🍩🍕🍮

Their enthusiasm for learning continues to grow — and due to their great interest, they’ll soon begin Pastry Course III! 🎉

The goal of this program is to empower mothers by teaching them the foundations of sewing, helping them expand their knowledge and improve their quality of life. ❤️

In this penultimate session, participants refined the details of their blouse patterns and carefully cut the pieces to be sewn together. It was wonderful to see how much progress they’ve made — everyone is now more confident using the sewing machine! 🪡👏

By the end of the session, all participants proudly completed their blouses, achieving excellent results and showing just how much they’ve learned throughout the course. 🌟

🎨✨ Creative Awareness Workshop – Introducing Children to Artistic Expression ✨🐾

As part of our summer activities, we organized a Creative Awareness Workshop for the children in our community. 💛

Through painting and hands-on creativity, the kids explored their imagination — some chose to paint animals from their surroundings 🐦🐢, while others let their creativity flow freely with vibrant colors and joyful brushstrokes. 🎨🖌️

It was a beautiful day filled with laughter, creativity, and self-expression, reminding us how important it is to nurture imagination from a young age. 🌈👧👦
