I have a bumper sticker that I live by and a dear friend has a tattoo with the same. It's Compassion is Revolution. It's not a storm the gates type of revolution, it's a soft, kind and caring revolution of millions of people all around the globe who are creating something kinder.
This is Papi a little 7 year old pup, dumped on the streets in Juarez, Mexico. Where an untold number of abandoned dogs roam for scraps of food and dodge traffic. A request came in today for PPJ to help him. We had closed intake as Utah transports were being put on hold for what we thought would be months. But, and here's the web of compassion that we never really hear about, but changes lives. Unpaid labor to create something kinder. Transports will be back on now and although PPJ only brings up a few dogs a month, it's everything to us and it's was everything to Papi. We could say yes today. It's not a 24/7 headline, it's a quiet, beautiful, kind act on a lot of people's parts. They come together like a tapestry and then disband when the job at hand is complete. A web of growing caring people who are not loud, but tenacious in a way that can't be purchased (although donations are very, very nice). You know who you are. You are the silent foot soldiers of a better world emerging. It's there. Just ask Papi.

When we begin to see each other as ourselves we co create a world that becomes kinder and more supportive. Today the PPJ Vet Team is back in Palomas, Mexico for our 8th Spay & Neuter Clinic. A town of 5000 that has no vet services. We are able to get there once a year to help keep the street dog population down. Neighbors helping neighbors, community working together. Donors who hold the same vision. Just a really caring loop of compassion. 💖🙏

It's that time of year again. Nexgard Happy Hour on the Border! Nexgard is on the Frontline to slowing the the spread of screw worm and that means PPJ and our volunteers on the Mexico side of the border are really helping street dogs and people. More photos as the efforts to get these meds into as many stray dogs as possible. The women who do this work on the Mexico side are volunteers and do this for the love of animals and for public safety. Thanking Bissell Foundation for supplying the Nexgard.

Rosey our newest PPJ dog. Three months old trying to figure out how to fill her tummy, when Manuela saw her. Her rescue photo is in comments. But profiling the tireless efforts of some of the women in Juarez, Mexico who have little and stretch it to help a little hungry, abandoned puppy. Rosey will be working her way through our vetting -and when six months old, we will work hard to find her a rescue that will help find her home. Community is the only way to make any of this happen. Together we can keep a door open for these sweet pups of Juarez, Perros de la calle🙏💖

Along the Mexico/USA Border is a town called Palomas. A town that is neighboring, Columbus, USA. We are neighbors. And next Sunday, PPJ will be hosting it's 8th no cost Spay and Neuter Clinic in Palomas. There are good things happening along our border and this is one of them!
