Cine Qua Non Lab

CQNL is an international artists' residency for filmmakers located in Mexico.

CQNL facilities are located in Tzintzuntzan, a small town in the state of Michoacán, Mexico, approximately 35km from the city of Morelia. Workshops and residency spaces are tucked amidst the beauty of the Sierra Madre Mountains, overlooking Lake Pátzcuaro, a quiet natural retreat with a variety of private indoor and outdoor working spaces.

"Donde comienza el río", de Juan Andrés Arango, llega al Festival Internacional de Cine de Toronto (TIFF) como parte de Centrepiece, sección que reúne lo mejor del cine de autor contemporáneo de todo el mundo.

La película fue parte de nuestro Taller de Revisión de Guion de 2020. Nos llena de alegría verla llegar hasta aquí. ¡Felicidades, Juan Andrés y a todo el equipo de la película!

Meet Jo Tracy, one of the mentors of Script Revision Lab 2026.

With over twenty years of experience as a script editor and development producer, Jo has helped shape projects for film and television while mentoring generations of emerging writers. Her work with organizations such as the BFI, Focus Features, Working Title, and Creative England reflects a deep commitment to developing original voices and bringing meaningful stories to the screen.

We're delighted to have Jo share her insight and experience with this year's Script Revision Lab participants.

We are honored to welcome Angeli Macfarlane as one of the mentors of Script Revision Lab 2026.

An acclaimed screenwriter, script editor, producer, and Head Tutor in Screenwriting at the UK's National Film and Television School, Angeli has spent her career helping filmmakers shape their stories. Her work has supported emerging voices through organizations including the BFI, BBC Film, Film4, Berlinale Talents, and Film London, while her guidance has contributed to the development of numerous award-winning debut films.

We're grateful to have her insight, generosity, and wealth of experience as part of this year's Script Revision Lab.
