We delivered our TOEFL ITP Teacher Workshop on April 17, this time with a group of coordinators from the Foreign and Native Languages (LEyM) department, English language facilitators, and other academic leaders from Tecnológico Nacional de México (TecNM) campuses in Boca del Río, Cuautitlán Izcalli, Guanajuato, Huixquilucan, La Chontalpa, La Piedad, Mexico City, Puebla, Saltillo, San Martín Texmelucan, Tlatlauquitepec, and Zongolica.
The range of teaching contexts represented made the exchange especially rich, with participants bringing diverse perspectives into the conversation.
This 8-hour, hands-on workshop—designed by and implemented by an officially trained professional at the Institute of International Education (IIE), LAC—focused on connecting ITP assessment with everyday classroom practice through strategies grounded in linguistic principles. Participants explored test design, reflected on how assessed skills relate to academic success, and exchanged ideas to better support their students.
