The INTERNATIONAL TRICHOSCOPY SOCIETY is a non-profit organization and was established on 4 May 2017 in Mexico City. The founding members are: Rodrigo Pirmez, Lidia Rudnicka Daniel Asz Sigall and Antonella Tosti (in alphabetical order). THE PURPOSE of the Society is:

-.Teaching trichoscopy as a diagnostic procedure for hair and scalp disorders and in general dermatology
- Promotion of the dev

elopment of trichoscopy
- Promotion of human and scientific relations with other groups and scientific societies with similar objectives
- Organization of regular international congresses and sessions on trichoscopy
- Developing methods and techniques, which improve diagnosis and monitoring with trichoscopy

Dr. Luiza Laborne Kalil is a board-certified dermatologist recognized by the Brazilian Society of Dermatology (SBD). She holds a Master’s degree in Health Sciences from the Faculdade de Ciências Médicas de Minas Gerais and completed her postdoctoral training at Yale University.

Dr. Kalil currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Yale University School of Medicine (USA), where she is actively involved in clinical practice, research, and education, with a focus on hair and scalp disorders.

Dr. Mesinkovska is a Mayo Clinic– and Cleveland Clinic–trained dermatologist with board certification in dermatology and a PhD. She currently serves as Vice Chair for Clinical Research in the Department of Dermatology at the University of California, Irvine. Internationally recognized for her work in complex medical dermatology, dermatopathology, laser medicine, and hair disorders, she leads a high-volume clinical research unit focused on hair health, inflammatory skin diseases, lasers, and skin aging science.

Dr. Mesinkovska has held multiple national and international leadership roles, including serving as Chief Scientific Officer of the National Alopecia Areata Foundation and as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Hair Research Society.

We are thrilled to announce that Professor Antonella Tosti will be joining us in Rio 2026!

Dr. Tosti is the Fredric Brandt Endowed Professor of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami.

She trained in Dermatology in Bologna, Italy—home to the oldest university in the world—and served as Full Professor of Dermatology there before moving to Miami in 2010.

Dr. Tosti is internationally recognized as a leading expert in hair and nail disorders. She is a former President of both the European Hair Research Society and the American Hair Research Society, and a founding member, past President, and Secretary General of the International Society of Trichoscopy.

She is regularly invited worldwide as a speaker and has chaired and directed sessions and symposia at major congresses, including the American Academy of Dermatology, European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, and the World Congress of Dermatology.

Dr. Tosti is the author of over 1,000 peer-reviewed publications and the editor or co-editor of 30 books, including 10 dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of hair disorders. She is also Editor-in-Chief of Skin Appendage Disorders.

Throughout her career, Dr. Tosti has trained hundreds of dermatologists from around the world, many of whom are now internationally recognized experts in hair and nail disorders.

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Andrei Doroshkevich will be joining us in Rio 2026!

Dr. Doroshkevich is Vice-President of the Russian Hair Research Society (RHRS) and a board-certified dermatologist with expertise in hair and scalp disorders and hair restoration surgery.

His main scientific interests include trichoscopy and the management of severe cases of scarring alopecias. A frequent invited speaker at national and international congresses, he is also an active member of several international societies dedicated to hair research.

Dr. Crystal Aguh is an Associate Professor of Dermatology and Director of the Ethnic Skin Program at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Dr Aguh’s area of research focuses primarily on cicatricial alopecia, with an additional interest in pigmentary disorders and dermato-endocrine disorders.

Adriana Rakowska, MD, PhD, Full Professor of Dermatology at the Medical University of Warsaw, is a leading specialist in hair disorders with a strong academic and clinical background.

She serves as Treasurer of the Warsaw Branch of the Polish Dermatological Society, is a member of its Audit Committee, and is a founding member of the EADV Hair Task Force.

Author of more than 100 scientific articles and over 80 book chapters, she has made major contributions to the field of trichoscopy, including the development of key diagnostic criteria for female androgenetic alopecia, trichotillomania, and cutaneous T-cell disorders. She is also co-editor of the influential “Atlas of Trichoscopy” (Springer, 2012).
