We are pleased to announce that the Call for Papers for the 2025 CEMLA Conference is now open; the Conference will be held on November 6-7, 2025, at the Miami Herbert Business School’s headquarters in Miami, USA (face-to-face).

We invite contributions within the broad range of topics of interest to central banks, including (but not limited to) monetary theory and policy, financial intermediation (both theory and empirics), climate-related aspects of financial stability and monetary policy, digitalization and financial markets, and payments and other financial market infrastructures.

🔵 IMF Course: Quantitative Models for the Integrated Policy Framework

We are delighted to share that from April 7 to 11, 2025, CEMLA is hosting the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Course on Quantitative Models for the Integrated Policy Framework. This Course provides an overview of such models and shows how they can be applied to address pressing economic policy questions. The course features Marcin Kolasa, Ruy Lama, Jesper Lindé, and Roland Meeks from the IMF, as well as Juan Pablo Medina from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez as Instructors.

Researchers from Banco Central de Bolivia, Banco Central de Reserva de El Salvador, Banco de España, Banco de México, Central Bank of Belize, Comisión Nacional de Bancos y Seguros (Honduras), Central Bank of the Bahamas, Banco Central de Chile, Banco Central del Paraguay, Banco de Guatemala, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Banco Central del Uruguay, Banque de la République d'Haïti, Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten, Superintendencia de Bancos (Panamá), Banco Central de Honduras, Banco Central República Dominicana, and Banco Central de Reserva del Perú are participating in the Course.

Last days to submit papers. The 2025 LAJCB Conference will be held on May 22-23, 2025, in Mexico City (face-to-face). The Conference will feature Professor Manuel S. Santos (Miami Herbert Business School) and Noah Williams (Miami Herbert Business School) as Keynote Speakers.

📌 All papers accepted for the Conference must be submitted to be considered for publication in the LAJCB.
📌 CEMLA will cover economy flights and hotel accommodation for paper presenters.
