The American Society of Mexico is open to membership from corporations and individuals of any nationality with an interest in Mexico, the US, or their relationship that would like to take advantage of the benefits from the activities and the services we offer. The American Society of Mexico (AmSoc) was founded on August 26,

1942 to promote a patriotic spirit and the interests of our country in the expatriate community in Mexico. Since its founding, thousands of people have benefited from AmSoc membership and we have has raised substantial monies to support charitable organizations operating in Mexico.

In an interview with Javier Solórzano on El Heraldo Radio, Larry Rubin, President of the American Society of Mexico, highlighted the proposal for a treaty to combat crime between Mexico and the United States to strengthen bilateral security cooperation and coordinate efforts against organized crime. He noted that Canada could also be invited to participate, given its relevance to the regional dynamics of drug trafficking.

Our President, Larry D. Rubin, joined ADN40Mx to discuss the importance of the USMCA for North America’s competitiveness. He emphasized that greater long-term certainty regarding the agreement would strengthen strategic planning and investment in Mexico, while recognizing the value of periodic reviews to ensure the treaty remains effective and up to date. He also discussed the proposal for a U.S.–Mexico Treaty to Combat Crime, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation on security and the rule of law.

The American Society of Mexico commemorates the 250th anniversary of the Lee Resolution, adopted on July 2, 1776, when the Second Continental Congress formally declared that the Thirteen Colonies were “free and independent States,” severing their political ties with the British Empire and paving the way for the birth of the United States of America.
