🙀 Cat waking you up at 3am? 🕒 Here’s what to do:

✳️ Understand your cat’s natural cycle. The Hunt, Catch, Kill, Eat, Groom, Sleep cycle is what signals to their body that the day is winding down.

✳️ Play hard at the right time. Interactive play before dinner = a cat who actually sleeps. No shortcuts!

✳️ Ditch free-feeding. Food out all day? Your cat’s running the show. Scheduled meals change that. Set mealtimes, knowing that the last meal of the day is your anchor.

✳️ Time your cat's last daily meal for about 90 minutes before you go to bed.

✳️ Ignore 3am wakeups. No feeding, no talking, no eye contact. Any response, positive or negative, tells them the behavior works.

🌩️ Beware the storm before the calm. ☀️ Your cat will keep trying different things, so hang in there!

One more thing worth knowing: if you're free-feeding dry food, you're working against yourself twice over. Wet or raw food is far more species-appropriate, and scheduled meals help regulate their energy in a way that grazing simply never will.
