Few ray species can match the beauty of golden cownose rays effortlessly gliding in the water column.

These colourful relatives of eagle rays, are found along the coast of the Eastern Tropical Pacific, from Mexico in the north to Peru in the south. At the Galapagos Islands they frequent shallow mangrove bays where they can often be encounter in schools, sometimes associated with their Pacific eagle ray cousins, feeding on benthic crustaceans and molluscs.

🌊 Earth Day 2026 🌍

Our oceans sustain every breath we take. From coral reefs to deep-sea currents, marine ecosystems are under growing pressure, and their protection has never been more urgent.

But we can make a difference.

Small actions ripple outward: reducing plastic use, choosing sustainable seafood, protecting coastal habitats, and advocating for stronger marine protections all add up.

Every day is Earth Day and when millions of us make those small changes, we can safeguard our oceans…and our future.

Bottlenose dolphins are extremely intelligent, curious and playful. On many occasions they can be seen riding the bow of passing boats just for fun.

At the Revillagigedo National Park, the largest fully marine protected area in north America, resident bottlenose dolphins have developed a close relationship with the scuba divers. They frequently venture into this underwater Eden seeking their attention for some playful interaction. 🐬

A silhouette that has defined the ocean for millions of years…the scalloped hammerhead.

Unmistakable and endlessly fascinating, their uniquely shaped heads give them a near 360° sensory advantage—allowing them to detect even the faintest electrical signals of hidden prey.

Now listed as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List, this remarkable species has seen dramatic population declines in parts of the world.

We must protect sharks...so future generations can witness beauty like this.

We were delighted to visit our friends The Litterboom Project again recently. Our founder had the opportunity to join the team in collecting plastic waste intercepted by one of their innovative Litterbooms.

As many of us know, the scale of plastic pollution cannot be overstated. It’s truly inspiring to see the dedication and hard work that goes into stopping this waste before it reaches our precious oceans.

Thank you to the team for everything you do.

If you’d like to support impactful work like this, just $4 removes 4kg of plastic from our rivers.
