A few months ago, we applied to the American Association of Anthropologists Annual Meeting with the intention of opening a window into What Remains. We are honored to be selected as part of the Art Installations to be shown at the Annual Meeting in New Orleans. This time the exhibition focuses on the academic aspect of What Remains and the multimodal research developed by Adriana Alvarez from the University of Colorado in Denver that explores invisible borders, trust, belonging and education. It is an honor to carry and share so many powerful stories of migration that have come together in a piece that has transformed and taken shape with us over the years. We are honored to be here and connect with a community that we truly admire.

WE ARE READY FOR on October 16! 💛

This past year has been truly inspiring. Thanks to your support and encouragement, What Remains has reached new horizons — exhibited at and , accompanied by art talks, presentations, and collaborations with several Institutions and Universities.

We’re now expanding to new and stronger grounds — through art, education, and community engagement — and we need your continued support to make it happen.

✨ We want to express our deep gratitude to everyone who has believed in and uplifted What Remains. You’ve been part of this project since the beginning, and your presence has made it all possible. ✨

THE BIG NEWS! 🚨
What Remains has just been accepted by the American Anthropological Association to be presented during their Annual Meeting this November in New Orleans!

Afterward, we’ll be bringing the exhibition to Tecnológico de Monterrey across four campuses — Monterrey, CDMX, Guadalajara, and Querétaro — so students can experience this vital work.

In December, we’ll welcome the Social Impact Program from Dartmouth College to El Paso, continuing our collaboration. And looking ahead to 2026–2027, What Remains will travel to Oaxaca and Guatemala.

With our deepest gratitude for your support, we’re ready to continue translating awareness into practices and actions of solidarity and support for those who endeavor in the global and timeless phenomenon of migration. 💫
