"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another" (Proverbs 27:17). This metaphor means that, just as two metal tools sharpen each other by rubbing together, people grow, mature, and improve their skills and character through living and interacting with others. The central concept is mutual development and support:

Correction and growth: True friends help us smooth out our flaws and bring out the best in ourselves.

Avoiding isolation: The main lesson is that we cannot thrive alone; we need the support, advice, and perspective of those around us.

Supporting this mission means helping children feel the value and respect they deserve, giving importance to their lives, and teaching them to love their neighbor so they can be useful to society.

The mission of salvation for children in Mazatlán focuses on protecting their lives, emotional well-being, and holistic development.

From a spiritual perspective, it represents the purpose of guiding the youngest children toward faith, based on passages such as Matthew 19:14, where Jesus welcomes them into his Kingdom. To address the concept more clearly, it can be divided into two main approaches: Holistic Development and Protection: This focuses on guaranteeing children's basic rights in the face of vulnerability or risk, promoting their safety and education.

Spiritual Guidance and Faith: In the religious sphere, this involves the active teaching of Christian values, forgiveness, and love for one's neighbor. The goal is to provide them with security in divine grace through biblical instruction and prayer.

Safeguarding the physical and moral integrity of children is an act of faith and love. Children are the future of society, and we are part of it. A gesture of love for them will be enough for their success in life. For donations, contact us via WhatsApp at +52 6694 47-44-86, Mazatlán Mission

Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done. (Proverbs 29:17)
We are to give to the poor out of mercy.

Not to be seen or applauded, much less to gain influence over them; rather, we are to provide them with help motivated by pure sympathy and compassion.

We should not expect to receive everything back from the poor, or even gratitude; but we should consider what we have done as a loan to the Lord.

He assumes the obligation, and if we see Him in this matter, we should not look to the other party involved. What an honor the Lord bestows upon us when He condescends to borrow from us! The merchant who has the Lord recorded in his ledgers is greatly favored. It would be a shame to have such a name recorded for a meager amount; let us make it a substantial sum.

As for the repayment of the loan, we could hardly think of it, and yet here we have the note signed by the Lord's hand. Blessed be His name, for His promise of payment is better than gold and silver. Are we falling short because of the times? We can humbly venture to present this promissory note at the Bank of Faith.

In Matthew 19:14, Jesus says, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Leaving children without Jesus means losing the opportunity to build their lives on values like love, forgiveness, and empathy. Without this spiritual guidance, children become more vulnerable to external pressures and lose an emotional refuge that strengthens their mental health and sense of purpose.

Growing up without these teachings directly impacts their development: Lack of a moral compass: Without knowledge of the scriptures, they lack a clear ethical compass based on respect for others.

Emotional vulnerability: Without the concept of unconditional love and prayer, they face anxiety and fear alone.

Loss of identity: In a fractured society, ignoring faith makes it difficult for them to recognize their spiritual worth.

Less resilience: A lack of trust in divine providence can make it harder to overcome losses or failures.

Historically, introducing young children to the faith has been valued as a way to protect their innocence and equip them for the future.

To delve deeper into how the spiritual environment shapes children's lives, you can review the reflections on Matthew 19:14, where Jesus himself instructs us not to hinder their access to his message.

James 2:14-17
Faith without works is dead
My brothers and sisters, what good is it if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is poorly clothed and lacking daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Having God in our hearts is manifested through concrete actions of help, compassion, and service toward others, making people instruments of His love. Helping from the heart means acting with pure motives, driven by mercy and not by obligation.

Key principles of helping with God in your heart: Compassion in action: True faith is demonstrated by having a tender heart and an outstretched hand to help the most vulnerable children.

Helping the less fortunate is helping God: Jesus emphasized the importance of caring for children because they will be able to help others tomorrow.

Service to vulnerable children flows from a heart grateful for the mercy God has shown you. Extend your hand; let God manifest Himself through your love. Sow compassion; a seed sown from your barn can yield a great harvest of fruit in children at risk. Help us to help. "Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done." Proverbs 19:17

A CLEAN MOUTH INSIDE AND OUT: Cleansing the mouth involves physical hygiene (daily brushing, flossing) and spiritual hygiene (speaking kind and truthful words). Teach children to brush 2-3 times a day, focusing on gums and tongue, while using the Bible to teach them to keep their hearts and speech clean.

Key Verse: "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord" (Psalm 19:14) or "It is not what goes into the body that defiles it, but what comes out of the mouth" (Matthew 15:11)

Lesson - Spiritual Cleansing: Explain that the "bacteria" in the mouth are lies, yelling, or rude words.

Jesus teaches that what matters is what comes out of our hearts and mouths.

Closing prayer: "Lord, cleanse my mouth of bad words and help my heart to speak the truth so that I can help other children and give them your word of love in the name of Jesus, Amen."

CHILDREN OF THE FUTURE:
From a Christian perspective, children are not only the future, but an essential part of the present of the Kingdom of God. Jesus presents them as examples of faith, humility, and purity, worthy of being loved, protected, and nurtured in eternal values. They should be taught to trust in God's guidance for their future.

Here is a Christian reflection on children in the present and future context:
Valuable in the present: More than "the future," children are fundamental to the society that surrounds them.

Jesus taught: "Let the little children come to me... for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14), indicating that their pure faith is a model to follow.

Sacred treasure: They are considered treasures and gifts from God, with divine purposes, deserving of love, respect, and a safe environment that fosters their spiritual development.

Purposeful Education: Christian parenting should focus on teaching children biblical values and an eternal vision, not just earthly goals, helping them to be a light in a complex world.

Hope and Security: This reflection highlights that, in the face of an uncertain future, children can find security and confidence in God, as He cares for their future.

Responsibility to Protect: There is a mandate not to underestimate them or be a stumbling block for them, but to guide them with love and justice, avoiding provoking their frustration.

In short, this Christian reflection invites us to see children as a blessing that requires spiritual investment, unconditional love, and guidance, ensuring that they grow up knowing that God has a wonderful plan for their lives.
