Martes de Huertos!🥬🥦

Hoy hablaremos de los cuidados diarios que debes tener en tu huerto casero.🤗
⠀⠀
💦 Agua - Observa la tierra de tu huerto, debe de mantenerse húmeda pero no en exceso. Toma un puño de tierra y apriétalo en tu mano, si cuando lo sueltas mantiene su forma y no se desmorona tan fácil, tiene una adecuada cantidad de agua; si se le escurre agua, lo has regado demasiado! espera un par de días a que disminuya la humedad para que no ahogues tus plantas. Si no mantiene la forma y se desmorona, le hace falta agua. Regularmente riega una vez cada dos días para hortalizas de hoja como la lechuga, dependiendo del clima donde vivas, si es muy seco y/o caliente tendrás que regar más seguido. ⠀⠀

☀️ Luz - Asegúrate que tus plantas estén recibiendo luz adecuada a su especie. Habrá unas que necesiten más o menos sol, si las tienes en macetas las podrás mover, si no, es un punto importante a considerar cuando diseñes tu huerto.

👀 Revisión - Observa diariamente tus plantas, en búsqueda de indicios de plagas o enfermedades. En próximos posts te aconsejaremos sobre preparados naturales para proteger tus plantas de plagas.

✂️Poda y deshierbe - Poda todas las hojitas mu**ta o enfermas de tus plantas, arranca los brotes espontáneos de hierbas que le quitarán agua y nutrientes a tus plantas.

Tener un huerto requiere de tiempo y dedicación para que tengas una buena cosecha. 😎☝️

Today we will talk about the daily care you must have in your urban garden.🤗

Martes de Huertos!!

¿Es hora de trasplantar tus plántulas (o plantas bebés) y no sabes cómo? 🌱 Aquí te decimos!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌱Prepara el espacio que usarás de antemano. Haz un agujero en el suelo con suficiente espacio para tu plántula.
🌱 Saca la plántula del semillero manteniendo el pan de tierra donde están las raíces tanto como puedas.😎 Trata de no tocar las raíces.
🌱 Inserta la plantula con el pan de tierra en el agujero y haz presion para colocar la planta en su lugar, riégala lo suficiente.
🌱 ¡Mira cómo crece felizmente!

Recuerda hacerlo durante la noche para dejar que la raíz se agarre bien al suelo sin que el calor interfiera en el proceso.

Time to transplant your seedlings (or baby plants) and don't know how? Check this:

🌱Prepare the space you will be using in advance. Make a hole in the soil with enough space for the seedling.
🌱Take out the seedling from the seed nursery keeping the soil cake as much as you can. Try not to touch the roots directly with your hands.
🌱Insert the seedling with the soil cake in the hole and press to set the plant in place, the water it enough.
🌱Watch it grow happily!

Remember to do it during the night to let it set without the heat interfering in the process.

Extra tips para tu semillero 🌿🌿
⠀⠀
Para germinar tus semillas,🌱🌱 asegura:
🌙 Oscuridad - Cubre tus semillas completamente
💦 Humedad - Regar diario y tener la tierra adecuada! (mira nuestro post anterior)
🌡️ Temperatura - Depende de que estés sembrando, las plantas más comunes germinan entre 24-32°C. Si tienes hortalizas de climas fríos seguro será más frío. Investiga sobre tus semillas para no fallar!

Recomendamos germinar tus semillas dentro de un semillero, que puede ser del material que quieras, as carteras de cartón de huevo sirven perfecto para esto!, para controlar tus plántulas durante las etapas más críticas de su crecimiento,🌱🌱 tardará entre 3 y 6 días en germinar. Para semillas grandes puedes hacerlo directo en la maceta o terreno donde va a quedar como las de la calabaza, el frijol o el maíz.🌽

Un tip de Casa LAN, es ponerle música! 🎻hemos descubierto que tenemos mayor porcentaje de germinación y de éxito en el transplante cuando ponemos música a 432Hz. Te ponemos un playlist en nuestras stories.

To germinate your seeds, assure:🌱🌱
🌙 Darkness - Cover your seeds completely
💦 Moisture - Water daily and use the right soil (check our last post for this)
🌡️ Temperature - It will depend on which you are growing, the most common seeds germinate between 24-32 ° C. If you have vegetables from cold climates this will be colder. Research what do the variety you are planting needs!

We recommend doing the germination inside a nursery, which can be made of the material you want (Egg cartons are perfect for this!), This helps you to control your seedlings very well during the most critical stages of their growth,🌱🌱 It will take between 3 to 6 days to germinate. Recuerdas que habíamos platicado de la Balam Kaab, o Abeja Jaguar? 🐝🐆Que es la encargada de resguardar la entrada de otros insectos invasores o abejas de otras colmenas. 🦟 ⠀⠀
Mira este video! La Balam Kaab se hace a un lado para dejar entrar y salir a las otras abejas, y acto seguido retoma su posición de centinela. 🤯🤯 ⠀⠀
Entre las abejas, cada individuo tiene un rol muy importante para preservar la vida de la colmena☝️, ya sea resguardarla, traer polén, construir, cuidar las larva, etc. La supervivencia de todas depende de que cada una realice su función de manera correcta.🤓 ⠀⠀

Martes de Huerto!🥬🥦

Hoy hablaremos de la tierra o sustrato donde plantaremos nuestras plantas🌱. Elegir mal el sustrato es una de las principales causas por las que pueden aparecer todo tipo de problemas a la hora de empezar a cultivar nuestro propio huerto urbano.🥬
⠀⠀
Éste sustrato debe de tener las propiedades para que crezcan y se desarrollen bien las plantas🌱, éstas son:
🌿 Capacidad de retención de agua
🌿 Drenaje
🌿 Nutrientes
🌿 Oxigenación de las raices
⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Bueno si te quedaste en las mismas, esto quiere decir que la tierra debe de tener un punto óptimo, donde ni retenga mucha agua, ni se drene completamente, no esté completamente apelmazada y permita que las raíces se oxigenen🍃. Además debemos de agregar los nutrientes que harán crecer nuestras plantas como lo son el compost, el humus de lombriz o estiércol.🐛
⠀⠀
Una buena receta para la mezcla de tierra es (hay muchas que pueden funcionar!):
👉🏽40% Tierra negra
👉🏽30% Compost (puede ser humus de lombriz, guano de murciélago, estiércol, etc)
👉🏽30% Agrolita

Tu receta de tierra va a depender de la base que tengas☀️, si tienes una tierra muy arenosa, que deja escapar el agua fácilmente tendrás que agregar algo que ayude a retenerla, como fibra de coco o más compost, si es muy arcillosa, retienen mucha agua, tendrás que agregar arena, perlita o vermiculita. La prueba definitiva es mojar tu sustrato un poco, coge un puñado y apretarla en tu mano, cuando la abras debes encontrar una masa compacta de tierra pero que se deshaga fácilmente.👌👌

A good recipe for the soil mix is ​​(there are many that can work!):

Hoy es día de las ABEJAS!!
🐝🐝Curiosidades de la Abeja Melipona🐝🐝

Las abejas Meliponas 🐝 producen solamente entre 1/2 y 1.5 litros de miel al año por jobón (o colmena), en comparación con las Apis Melífera (la abeja que todos conocemos) que producen hasta 80 litros al año.🍯🍯
⠀⠀
La miel de la abeja melipona puede variar en cuanto a su color y sabor, dependiendo de las plantas donde estén pecoreando las abejas, y tiene muchas propiedades medicinales, ya que algunas de estas plantas tienen también propiedades.🌿🌿

Los huevos, las larvas y la abeja reina 👑 se alimentan de una mezcla de polen y miel 🍯 llamada pan de abeja.

Las abejas se comunican por señales químicas, a través de las feromonas.🐝

Martes de Huertos!🥬🥦
Hoy hablaremos de cultivar a partir de brotes de los residuos de nuestros alimentos.🤯

Existen varias plantas con las que, usando sus residuo puedes hacer que rebrote. No necesitarás ningún tipo de semilla!😍
⠀⠀
Un ejemplo son las piñas🍍, simplemente, corta la corona de la piña aprox 2.5 cm del extremo a partir de donde se inicia las hojas de la corona.🌿 A partir de esta zona crecerán las nuevas raíces, plantala directamente en la tierra previamente preparada en tu jardín o en una maceta, cubriendo completamente la base con todo y cáscara y pulpa, ésto le servirá de abono a la nueva planta. Pronto verás nuevas hojas salir del centro.🍍😎

Para el apio y las lechugas,🥬 corta aprox 3cm de la base hacia arriba, con la zanahoria corta de la parte donde crecen las hojas 1.5cm hacia abajo. Para plantarlas en tierra, cubre 1/3 de la base para dejar que crezcan nuevas hojas a partir del centro. También puedes ponerlas en un plato con agua, recuerda cambiarla constantemente.💦

Conoce a la Balam Kaab, o “Jaguar Abeja”,🐝 siempre la podras encontrar a la entrada de las colmenas de la abeja Melipona Beecheii🍯, es la encargada de resguardar la entrada de otros insectos invasores o abejas de otras colmenas.🐜 Se hace a un lado para dejar entrar a las abejas que si viven ahí, y cuando percibe algún peligro avisa a las otras abejas para que corran a tapar la entrada con cera.😎
