Founded the 14th of april 2007, uniting people committed to nature, and creating a strategy to create consciousness and recognition of the human right to water.

La Fondation Chalchi est une fondation qui a pour mission de surveiller et de permettre l’accès à l’eau et à toutes les personnes vivantes d’en profiter. De plus, la fondation s’engage à avoir des priorités conformes à la qualité, à la quantité et à la subvention de cette ressource pour les générations futures. DESCANSE EN PAZ

Con profunda tristeza lamentamos el fallecimiento de Mona Khalil hoy. Ella sucumbió a sus heridas después de que su casa fuera bombardeada en Mansouri. Ella será recordada a través de un legado increíble. A pesar de todo, Mona eligió quedarse y cuidar de las tortugas de Live Love Tyre. Su vida fue desinteresada e impactante.

Que descanse en paz, y que el trabajo que tanto cuidaba continúe inspirando en el lado bueno de la humanidad a estas y a todas las generaciones venideras.

In the open ocean, survival is supposed to follow a simple rule: the strong take from the weak. Predators hunt. Prey runs. Life goes on.

But humpback whales seem to be telling a different story.

In more than a hundred documented encounters, these giants have thrown themselves into the chaos of orca hunts — not to protect their own kind, but to defend strangers.
Seals. Sea lions. Even sunfish.

They place their massive bodies between hunter and hunted.
They swing their fins like shields.
Sometimes they even lift smaller animals onto their chests, holding them above the water until danger passes.

And when the orcas retreat, the humpbacks simply swim away. No meal. No reward. No reason that fits neatly into the logic of survival.

Some scientists wonder if it’s a reflex — a protective instinct for their calves, misapplied to others.
But maybe it’s more.

Maybe humpbacks recognize the cries of distress.
Maybe they know what it means when a body is dragged below the waves.
Maybe they understand, in their own way, that life matters.

And if that’s true, then empathy is not ours alone.
It moves through fins as well as fingers, through songs as well as words.
It rises from the deep, reminding us that in a world built on competition, there are still those who rush to protect the vulnerable — not because they have to, but because they choose to.
