🐢🌙 ¿Te gustaría vivir una experiencia diferente y ayudar a proteger a las tortugas marinas en Isla Mujeres? 🌊
Durante la temporada de anidación, las tortugas marinas llegan a las playas de Isla Mujeres para desovar. 🐢🥚
La cantidad de tortugas que estamos recibiendo es muy grande y, actualmente, entre el personal y los pocos voluntarios que participan no damos abasto para cubrir todas las jornadas.
Por eso estamos buscando personas comprometidas que quieran sumarse como voluntarias/os para ayudar en las jornadas nocturnas de monitoreo y protección. 💚
🌙 ¿Qué implica el voluntariado?
• Compromiso mínimo de 1 mes
• Mínimo 3 horas por cada jornada, aunque si tienes disponibilidad para quedarte más tiempo, ¡tu ayuda será aún más valiosa!
• Los turnos se realizan entre las 21:00 y las 5:00 am
• No es necesario asistir todos los días. Puedes elegir las noches en las que tengas disponibilidad.
• Lo importante es poder mantener un compromiso constante mínimo durante el mes.
• No necesitas experiencia previa. Recibirás las indicaciones necesarias para realizar la actividad.

Durante las jornadas se utilizan distintos materiales y siempre son bienvenidas las donaciones, por ejemplo:
💧 Botellas de agua
🧤 Guantes de látex o guantes tipo jardinería
🔦 Linternas
👜 Bolsas de tela
➕ Y otros materiales necesarios para las actividades
Si quieres colaborar con materiales o conocer qué otros elementos hacen falta, puedes acercarte a las oficinas para consultar.
📍 ¿Dónde anotarse?
Las inscripciones para el voluntariado se realizan presencialmente en las Oficinas de Medio Ambiente y Ecología, ubicadas en Hacienda Mundaca.
🕘 Horario de inscripción: 9:30 a 16:30 h

During nesting season, sea turtles come to the beaches of Isla Mujeres to lay their eggs. 🐢🥚
The number of turtles arriving this season is very high, and currently, the staff and the few volunteers participating are not enough to cover all the shifts.
That’s why we are looking for committed people who would like to join us as volunteers and help with nighttime monitoring and protection efforts. 💚
🌙 What does volunteering involve?
• A minimum commitment of 1 month
• A minimum of 3 hours per shift, although if you are available to stay longer, your help will be even more valuable!
• Shifts take place between 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM
• You don’t have to volunteer every day. You can choose the nights when you are available.
• The important thing is to maintain a consistent commitment throughout mínimum the month.
• No previous experience is required. You will receive the necessary instructions and training to carry out the activities.

Different supplies are used during the nighttime shifts, and donations are always welcome, such as:
💧 Bottled water
🧤 Latex gloves or gardening gloves
🔦 Flashlights
👜 Reusable fabric bags
➕ And other supplies needed for the activities

Volunteer registration is available in person at the Environmental and Ecology Offices, located at Hacienda Mundaca.
