Our hearts are full of gratitude as we thank the donors who contributed to the purchase of new library books in loving memory of Sami Buisson-Daniel.

A special thank-you goes to Aletha Sangiray, Sami’s devoted daughter, who initiated this beautiful project and thoughtfully selected wonderful storybooks for readers of all ages. ✨

Sami spent her last few high seasons on Isla Mujeres lovingly protective-wrapping and labeling hundreds of library books for LOMI. She quietly recruited friends to join her efforts, ensuring that local children could enjoy reading for years to come.

Lean On Me International is proud to offer partnerships with Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts who desire to put LOMI families at the heart of their service award projects. Incredible young leaders can help to support with food dispensaries, or provide books for our library program and helmets for safety, as well as other initiatives that touch the lives of local families.

Through their projects, Scouts are not only giving back to the community—they’re learning firsthand the values of cultural differences, compassion, responsibility, and leadership. Their work will prove that age is no barrier when it comes to making a difference! ✨

Join us on Friday, January 31st, from 5pm–8pm for Lean On Me International’s 5th Annual Jail & Bail event! We’re looking for adventurous volunteers willing to play the part of our “criminals.”

Don’t worry—we’ll make it easy (and fun!) for you:

👉 Virtual possibilities are an option
