SCM supports students and artists in cultivating their craft and sharing them with the world

Many schools in Southern California have been offering percussion programs and raising the musical potential of their students in the last decade, resulting in a recent surge of rising percussionists and marimba specialists. However, opportunities to perform are still limited, and young students currently studying marimba often do not have the opportunity to connect with musicians who play marimba

professionally. This organization seeks to fill in those needs by providing educational clinics directly to school programs and inviting various marimba artists to perform concerts with FREE admission for 18 and under students. At SCM, we believe in the future potential of our music students, proactively serving the greater good of the music community, and building meaningful relationships between staff, artists, musicians, students, donors, and the listening audience.
