What a glorious morning to celebrate a truly extraordinary woman! It’s as if the sun itself rose just for her today, painting the sky in spectacular colors to wish her a happy 71st birthday! 🔥🙌

I am beyond blessed to be married to this incredible soul and honored that we get to witness each other’s journey every single day. Dawn, you are the fire that keeps everything burning bright, the backbone of our mission, and the kind of person who leaves a lasting imprint on every soul lucky enough to know you.

Friends, please help me celebrate Dawn Stephens, as she marks 71 incredible years on this planet. Hard to believe, I know—because she embodies a spirit that is timeless, boundless, and full of life. 🙏

Through the decades, she has touched thousands of lives—from her years as a brilliant sports psychologist, shaping young minds and guiding athletes to success, to her tireless devotion to rescuing and rehabilitating horses who had been forgotten and cast aside. Every step of her journey has been walked with passion, integrity, and the deepest love.

If you’ve been fortunate enough to experience her wit, her wisdom, her generosity, then you already know just how rare and extraordinary she truly is. She gives without hesitation, loves without limits, and pours her heart into everything she touches.

Babe, you are the very best part of my life. For 18 incredible years, we have walked this path side by side, and every moment has been extraordinary. I love you beyond words, and I am so grateful for every single day I get to share with you.

💔 A Call for Kindness and Care 💔

Last night, a sweet boy wearing red a collar (but no name tag) was hit by a car near the town of Cantu. This serves as a powerful reminder: Y’ALL NEED TO SLOW DOWN! Please be mindful, especially when entering or exiting our communities—it could save a life.

Thanks to the kindness of Heidi Hart, this boy was rushed to Peña Jasso Veterinary Hospital for emergency care. While he is expected to make a full recovery, the vet costs are significant, and he will need ongoing aftercare.

At Tina Jo’s Promise Equine Rescue, we couldn’t turn away from his need. We’ve covered the initial vet expenses, which are already over $1,000, to ensure he received the care he deserved. Now, we’re asking for your help.

Meet Dusty, our resident charm at the sanctuary, who comes with more aliases than a secret agent! Turns out, in Mexico, he's got a 'birth certificate' with 20 different names! Guess that's what happens when you're too cool for just one identity. Watch out, world, Dusty's here to steal hearts... and maybe a few treats while he's at it!

We rescue the broken, the forgotten, and the ones others say have no hope.

But here’s the tea—miracles happen at Tina Jo’s Promise every. single. day. Because love works magic, baby! We teach these horses to trust humans again—talk about some serious relationship goals, right? Running a sanctuary isn’t all sunshine and carrots though. My wife and I tag-team the whole operation, because 23 horses need a lot more than just cute selfies. (Though yes, we do have those.)

Some of our rescues move on to their forever homes, living their best horse lives. But others? Well, they stick with us, basking in peace, love, and way too many treats. Sadly, a few only stay with us for a short time—but they leave knowing love for the first time ever, and that’s everything.

Education is the heart of what we do, too. We open our gates to show people the magic, smarts, and sweetness of these four-legged beauties. Spoiler alert: Horses are a whole vibe.

Oh, and today? We had a volunteer orientation, and wow—talk about heartwarming! Seeing people come in ready to change lives is the kind of magic we live for.
